I watch the Food Network religiously. Good Eats is great, but it's no Unwrapped.

I went to Emeril Live in the city once.
And my sister submitted a recipe for something to Emeril once and her picture was on TV..it was on the "Kids Cook Too!" episode filmed in Disney World.

Alton Brown is so funny because he's so unfunny.
I watch the Food Network religiously. Good Eats is great, but it's no Unwrapped.
I used to think that, but Unwrapped has really sucked lately. The new episodes have had the worst topics. Now they show how they make freezer bags and chili powder. Who gives a shit?

i like good eats cuz he tackles one subject and extensively discusses everything about it so you actually gain a good understanding of the subject...whereas other shows just show you how to cook specific dishes...ya im a foodtv nerd fo' sho' :D

Rachel Ray is the devil.
Rachel Ray is the devil.
yeah i know someone who say her in a store shooting her show and she said that Rachel was bossing people around and stuff and wouldn't talk to "fans"(can chefs have fans)
I love watching the show with Paula Dean, she reminds me of my grandmother and seems like someone who is actually very nice in real life.
Rachel Ray doesn't make anything that I find too appetizing but I'd still hit it.

"Okay guys, I'm gonna be making some Spicy Chicken Quesidillas and I'm gonna add some peppers and it's gonna be all melty and spicy and it's gonna taste delish!" I hate that word she uses...delish...

ham on the street is a good show. But my heart will always belong to Racheal Ray. She got me into the food network when i was in like 8th grade. She is so infectious to watch and she can always make me feel good, no matter how fattening my fast food is.

Here at Good Eats, we make a habit of trafficing in cultural icons. And what could be more culturally iconoclastic than the American grandmother? And this is not a TV grandmother, this is my real grandmother; I call her Ma Mae.
Hey Ma Mae, did you get those weights moved up to the attic?

he he...
i watched this show at 3am last night who else thinks the new(er) kitchen is 1000 times better than the old one
I love watching the old episodes... they're expensive as hell to buy on DVD, but I got torrents of each of the seasons. It's funny to see the first batch of episodes, since they clearly didn't know exactly how they wanted to present the show, and exactly what directions it would take.

XD haha.
I love Good Eats- I love how on some episodes, he has this plot going, like with that episode about scallops...
Alton's such a smart person- he produces the show and writes the script and he cooks? The most perfect dude ever. He's also supposed to be a pretty nice guy. Have any of you guys met him?

Yeah, that kind of threw me off too. I looked on my TiVo and I was like, "Water Works one? What could Alton do with a show like that?" and I expected something phenomenal and interesting... Now I wish that I didn't see those two episodes.

Alton had this "science" of diners. It was cool.
Don't worry about missing it last night- there'll probably be re-runs all week. :O
