They have one of the top 5 bass players in rock today and I'd prob stick their drummer and guitarist in the top 30 range. Yes, they wore masks a few years ago, but that doesn't take away from how good The End Of All Things To Come and Lost & Found are in particular. I wasn't a fan in the "Dig" era, but if something stands out and I like it, what can I do? TEOATTC and L&F are solid releases.

Makeup*...my bad. I theorize that the makeup might have been used to facilitate getting signed. As sad as it is, looks matter a lot when you're trying to get signed to a bigger label. Mudvayne are one of the ugliest bands out there, so it would make sense if that was the reason.

There are much worse bands to be picking on than Mudvayne. I mean, seriously... I don't even like the band, but at least they offered something different than a lot of the "butt rock" bands that had been coming out at the time.

I love these guys. L.D. 50 was their best album by far but their recent ones have still been solid efforts. And they put on an awesome live show. I want to see them again sometime soon.
