Cannot wait for this.Idlewild will always be one of my favourite bands, in fact I am going to go listen to 'The Remote Part'

Be aware that his solo material is MUCH different than what you get with an Idlewild record. It is very folky a la Damien Rice.

Idlewild are hands down one of the best bands to come out of recent note. I have way too much love for this band and it's criminal how little they are known here in the states. Though they have grown from the 'punkier smiths' sounds of their earlier albums to the flat out scottish royalty they are now. They haven't put out a bad record yet.

'100 Broken Windows' and 'The Remote Part' are pretty much the most flawless albums I've ever heard.

I expect this solo album is going to be pretty mellow. If it weren't they would be Idlewild songs. Roddy seems a bit like he's chllled out over the years so I'm not surprised by the folk route.

I heard there was no US release date on the album yet. Just the UK date.
