the feline presence here brings
a swift sequence of opportunities,
limber and shining with wit.
which choice will our deciding Intuition pick?
will we acknowledge the scratch or
groom these uncertainties out?
to keep our settled fur tangle free.
my balanced walk tends to trip my clumsy run.
playful movements divide this happy friction
and we remember to elaborate on the forgotten fun.
once a vibration kept still between
your purring chest and my claw ridden paws.
i try to hide every poorly socialized find
because we both know, embarrassment
is handled best by the human ego,
that wrote our "it's this or nothing" time.
I can't help but spray my arrogance
through territories not my own.
alone this moment will be spent
as a cat i swing effort with seamless grace
you've been told, "just forget my human face"
