Is there an old Nintendo 64 sitting around your house collecting dust? Do you own the games Mario Kart and GoldenEye 007? If so, Less Than Jake (http://www.lessthanjake.com) has a deal for you. The band is willing to trade guest list spots for this summer's Warped Tour, as well as a handful of merchandise, to get their hands on your products. If you're willing to make the trade, please e-mail Vinnie here (wunderlandwar@aol.com).

Haha, that's so rad. It shows that them being a pretty "big" pop punk band hasn't gotten to them.
But fuck, I sold mine. =[

hahahaha....

Mario Kart and Goldeneye for n64 are two of the best games ever created. Add Mario Party and Mario 3 for Nintendo to that list aswell.

Well, I imagine they have alot of free time on Warped Tour, and especially while driving, so that should be your answer.

I don't see a problem with that. They'll make the trade with one, or maybe two people, and then they'll likely say "thanks, but the deal is over" to anyone who e-mails them after that.

First of all, Nintendo 64 systems aren't exactly in the front windows of any stores these days, and with being on Warped Tour and having to drive to a new city every single night, I would imagine they don't have much time to leave the venue and go shopping.

Secondly, how is that lame? They're offering guest list spots, as well as merch, for something you could pick up for like $15 all together in a used store now. I think that's a great deal.

No problem with that? Then why post it on Ap.net if it's only going to be subject to a couple of people? It's decieving to lead people on to such deals. That's fucking stupid.

Obviously you can't go out and buy them since they're 2 console generations behind (duh!)... but hey, there's always ebay:

Goldeneye for less than 5 dollars (with another game) http://cgi.ebay.com/2-NINTENDO-64-GAMES-GOLDENEYE-007-AND-WWF-ATTITUDE_W0QQitemZ330001587523QQihZ 014QQcategoryZ62053QQrdZ1QQcmdZView Item

Mariokart for under 5 dollars.

So what is the point of this whole thing if they can easily get it themselves on ebay and seeing that they'll only offer it to a few people. waste of a "news release" on this site.

They can't buy them on ebay right now for the same reasons they can't go out to a used game store and buy them. They're on the Warped Tour, and they clearly want these games to play and keep them busy while on the Warped Tour. So, enlighten me, how are they supposed to order them on ebay and have them shipped to them if they're in a completely different city every day? If they weren't out on tour, this request wouldn't of been made at all, but they are, so it was. Think about it.

Why did I make this news post? I don't care if this deal will involve a million people or one single person. If this offer can make a single person happy, than that makes me happy, and that one person will be happy I posted this. Also, let's not forget, Less Than Jake are one of the nicest, most appreciative bands I've ever met, so why not try to help them out a little bit on tour if it only involves making a single news post?

Lastly, wow - take it easy. I think you're getting a little worked up over this, or at least you would appear that way. But, this is the internet, so who knows, right?

I have an N64 and both those games. +3 controllers. So i emailed vinnie. Not quite sure why though since Warped already passed my city... but i honestly never play that thing anymore regardless of the fact that those truly are two of the best games ever. Why let it sit in my closet collecting dust when somebody could be enjoying it.

Plus, they mentioned free merch. That's for me man. Hope he gets back to me.

you're a gigantic moron.
less than jake want mario kart and goldeneye, they don't really have a lot of options in ways to get them... they probably thought, hey wait a minute, kids like warped tour right, we have guest list spots right, we can also give them some free merch as an extra thank you so why don't we make some kid happy as well as get what we want, its more than a fair trade towards whoever gives them the games, a warped tour ticket is give or take $25... and merch is around $10 a piece, considering these games go for less than $5 to a used games place i'd say the kid is getting a deal.

if you can't understand that you're an idiot.

this isn't a waste of a news release either, sure one or two people may only end up with it... but that doesn't mean that only one or two people should know about it, because you have to tell a lot of people before you're going to find the willing person.

thats like saying they should take the underoath competition down because only a few people will get something

people like you piss me off, so fucking stupid.

I picked it up in Brampton actually, Cardboard Memories has a lot of games and so does the Microplay in Square One. However, Microplay is ridiculously over priced. I have everything they want, and Warped is still two weeks away - and as much as I love my N64 and those games, I never play them. Maybe once every year. But if I really want them back, I'll just eBay that shit and buy them back from someone else. Might as well see what my chances are...

apparently you've never known anyone on tour. getting mail on tour is pretty easy. a buddy of mine is guitar tech for the dropkick murphys, he had me send him some cds and stuff when they were on warped tour last year, it was easy. they know where they're staying for every leg of the tour, you just send it somewhere they're going to be in a couple of days and *shock* the hotel/venue holds it for them until they get there.
