This is a new melodic hardcore song I wrote entitled "Last Ones Standing".
Last Ones Standing
Verse 1:
The memories of a thriving time
Were forgotten long ago
Though when it was still in its prime
We kept everybody close
But now antiestablishment
Grasps our present day
Now we only stand to resent
Until we fade away
Chorus:
Now violence lines each street
With unease and brutality
And now we watch as unrest grows
Dimming the once bright glow
We’ll only sleep in our deep, dark graves
‘Cause the night sleeps with the day
Now we’re the ones all asking
Are we the last ones standing?
Verse 2:
The faces of a cheerful crowd
Have been replaced by anger
And all the people once so proud
Are now silenced by danger
Another victim’s deafening screams
Are drowned out by the sirens
A shade of red covering the green
The grass stained with bloodshed

Like dominoes falling down one by one
It’s no surprise this battle won’t be won
What was once respected is now corrupted
