you know... i find myself listening to this band every so often. but i just feel like their music is way too similar to hellogoodbye's. but i guess if i put all that aside, it's easy to enjoy their music!

i think rediscover has been around well before hellogoodbye made any waves in the scene.

sounds just like hellogoodbye.

my point with my earlier post is just because hellogoodbye is popular, a band that bas been around for the same amount of time, isn't "just like" the other band because they established a different type of sound and got popular off of it quicker.

i just hate when bands get compared to sounding "just like" another band when all they are doing is making music they like to make, not trying to sound or be anyone else.

and our point is, whatever either bands' intentions, they both sound similar. just because they are not ripping each other off doesn't mean that they don't sound a like.. relax

Who else?

explosions in the sky just made their 2005 EP free, as shown on this websites front page like, yesterday

and sherwood

and jonezetta

and probably a lot more that i havent even bothered downloading. its really great though, gets me a lot more interested in a band rather than just getting poor quality songs by themselves on purevolume or myspace. having a whole piece of work in its true quality is really nice
