A reader sent us the following:
At last night's show in London, MxPx (http://www.absolutepunk.net/mxpx) played a "private show" type set (only playing songs requested by the crowd). Among those played included "Under Lock and Key", "Invitation to Understanding", "My Life Story", "Middlename" and a ton of other stuff from their older albums with a good mix from newer albums. They indicated they intended to do this for the rest of the summer tour, so if you love MxPx and want to hear some random songs you might want to pick up tickets.

It's because of cool stuff like this that they continue to be my favorite band, year after year.

Larry Arms does this at select shows and they have such a great time. Not the biggest MxPx fan ever, but its such a power house tour

That is so rad.
Personally, they could just play the whole album Slowy Going The Way... and I would be in heaven. Shit, they could even play my second favorite MxPx album and I'd be satisified!

NoFx is horrible. I have no respect for that band. Especially after seeing them at warped this year. I've seen them before and such but this just did it for me. While Underoath was playing, all of the NoFx fans just kept cheering "NoFx! NoFx! NoFx!" and such and then Spencer was like, "I'm sorry you guys that don't want to listen to us have to, but I'm just as excited as you guys are about seeing NoFx. They are one of my favorite bands." The NoFx fans kept on yelling derogatory comments at Underoath, especially when Spencer said, "We are a band in the name of Jesus Christ and I know a lot of you out there don't like us at all, but we love all of you." Then NoFx takes the stage and was like, "Sorry you had to hear all that bullshit about Jesus and stuff." and they just continued throughout the set to come back to making fun of what Spencer was saying earlier. So it just lost a lot of respect for that band from me.

The London show was on the 3rd and the Toronto show was on the 4th. For a couple of songs Mike was like "Yo, what key is this in?" or "I havn't played this in like 6 years but I'll give it a try".
It was so sick.
