as much of a scumbag as this guy is, i don't think he's a liar. he's the only guy trying to take on major league baseball, so he wins some points in my book. if it werent for him, there wouldnt be much attention paid to steroids.

as long as they play Fullerton Flyers I don't care
I wonder if he's fully aware of the fact that he has become a huge joke.

A huge joke that forced major league baseball to look at it's steroid problems after he was proven correct about it's abuse.

He's made it more public and has capitalized off the fact he used. MLB was taking steps before this gong show wrote his book. He's desperately and sadly trying to stay in the public eye. Disappear like McGwire

so someone writing a book for money but also aiding and pushing MLB and congress to do something about steroids makes him irrelevent? did you believe him about anyone he mentioned before palmeiro got busted? I doubt you did.
And would MLB have the standards they do now without his book and the pushing of congress? I highly doubt it. If by "were teaking steps before his book" you mean pushing it under the rug because they were still basking in the glory of their steroid sluggers bringing the game back to where it is, then I would agree.
