I'm a movie buff. Or at least I love movies. I go to my local Blockbuster proly three times a week. I noticed a new worker last week. She's around my age and is really, really cute. I'm thinking about asking her out. But if she says no, then everytime I go there to get a movie, it would be awkward. Help?

Go for it. And if she says no, use Netflix like the rest of the world.
it actually works out well cause if she says no then your probably going to have to stop watching movies and break out the porn.
Do it, definitely. if it don't work... blockbuster online?

why would it be awkward? you're not confessing your love for her - you're asking her if she's down to get to know you. it's only as awkward as you make it bro. if anything your chances are better than if you weren't there all the time - at least you're a familiar face.
just make sure you're renting something cool...like soft core porn...and ask her if she wants to watch it with you.

Tell her she's working for a dying business and you want to save her.
Optionally, wear a Superman costume while doing the above.
For serious, though -- just strike up a conversation. Tell her she's cute and that you'd like to take her to a movie sometime, or if she gets enough of that at work, to just grab some coffee and talk. As long as you don't come off as too aggressive, I think you'll be fine. It's all about approach and delivery.

I like this idea.
Just make sure you have a not-too-creepy explanation ready for how you knew what kind of drink [or otherwise] she likes.

Go into the store and look around for a few minutes and then approach her and ask her if she could recommend you anything that she has seen lately or wants to see. Learn her name. Rent a few of her recs and leave. Come back to the store for a few more weeks and rent movies and establish a talking relationship. After that, ask her out. If she says no, her loss. If she has a boyfriend, stick it out and see if said boyfriend dumps her.
There you go champ.

Honestly, I've never seen any of those except Slumdog Millionaire, and I loved it. But thanks for the recs. I'll check them out. I'll watch pretty much anything.

This is actually good advice on two levels because A) It just might work. and B) You get to find out what movies she likes. If you're a movie buff like you say you are, you're not gonna settle for someone that's throwing out recs like Boondock Saints and Legally Blonde. She namedrops Eternal Sunshine and Donnie Darko, she probably cries alot and you'll want to stay away. She throws out a 'Dark Knight' or 'Wall-E' you'll probably want to lock that up because her taste may be broad, but at least it's good.

If she says no rape her. Then she will never go back to work because she has to deal with emotional trauma and you can continue to rent movies.
