So I've had my macbook pro (new 13" unibody model) since mid-July and have run into one small bump.
I want to connect the laptop to a NON HD TUBE TV to project the video. Mostly for the purposes of watching movies.
I know there are many easy solutions if I have an HDTV, but I don't.

The apple store guy suggested to me a "Mini Display Port to DVI" a "DVI to video Adapter" then basic S - Video cable, but these adapters didn't fit together properly, which ended up costing me $60, and a day of unnecessary driving.

Can someone help me?
I know other people must be having the same problem...
Solutions anyone....

EDIT: I know I need separate cables for audio, I already have that taken care of.

The only thing I could think of is a cable with one head being VGA (the cable for monitors, wide and flat) to a standard video cable, but I don't own a mac, so I don't know if they have VGA outputs.

You need a Mini-DisplayPort to VGA adapter. They make em'.

Yeah, it's a standard apple-adapter to vga, then go from there.

The problem here is that a Mini DisplayPort produces an all-digital signal, so it's hard to convert that to an analog composite video signal.

You can stream through a 360 if you have one.
