give it another try. i was underwhelmed by it the first time i saw it, but i've come to love it on multiple viewings.

after being disappointed by superman returns, i'm keeping my excitement for this one in check, but you better believe i'll be seeing it opening night. kinda sucks that this is the last big movie of the summer though. pretty weak summer movie season this year if you ask me.

i knew nohing at all about the first pirates of the carribean and didnt find out about it until my friend had a bootleg of it from japan. this time around, theres some hype for it. it should be pretty good. plus depp said he'd be interested in doing 3 more of these movies so im guessing the first three are going to be petty good.

i was a little dissapointed. i kind of thought the first one was a little overrated though. it was fun and fresh, but also stupid and long. now that thrill of the first one is gone. i liked it, but it wasn't anything spectacular. i hated the FX overload.

I felt pretty much the same about the movie. the movie was exactly what it wanted to be: fun, exciting action parts, and lots of little funny moments. all the critics that liked it realized this, and all the critics that hated it wanted it to be more than just regular fun.

It was very awesome just as I expected. It's one of those series that won't go down as an incredible work of film making (like Star Wars or LoTR) but it will go down as one of the most fun and exciting series of our time (like Lethal Weapon or Terminator)

wow really? i didn't think it was that good at all.. i actually thought it was pretty bad and paled in comparison to the first. i found the plot to be difficult to follow, the characters to lack any real depth (even the enemy), and basically... nothing substantial happened within 150 minutes. the action scenes were sweet, but i felt that a lot of them were unnecessarily long. but the fact that its the 2nd one and kind of a "segway" into the 3rd, kind of makes me forgive this film. but yeah, that's just me.. i've heard mixed reviews. however, everyone else i know here that has seen it (as well as my friends) were pretty disappointed too. we saw the midnight showing.

it basically was. The guy who played Cpt. Barbossa probably got paid in the hundred thousands for a saying a few words. Unless they filmed 2 and 3 together, which I think did.

i saw this last night... i found it to be just an alright movie. yea the effects were cool and all but the story just dragged out waaaaayy too long. some of the stuff was just a little too over the top but i understand that's how this movie is supposed to be. ex: the bone cage they were in didnt break the whole time the were bouncing and running from the tribes people but once they hit the water it broke haha and the part with the giants octopus... after the second time it came that boat should of been in the water with all the holes it had haha

i give it about a 7/10. also, did anyone notice how incredibly emo davy jones is in that movie? haha

which I was more than happy to sit through a special screening of the two extended editions back to back and then the opening of the third movie at midnight

Just got back from it - mediocre script, decent acting - but the script turned the characters either incompetent or just out of character quite often, the score was the same as the Rock's (listen to the two side to side) and it was not nearly as fun as the original. Holy christ was it long too...best part of the whole movie was Transformers. I'll give it a 7 of 10 because I'm feeling generous, and it was decent enough. Just a big disappointment when it comes to the whole hype machine.

They took 2 hours and 40 minutes to explain 1 hour and 45 minutes of movie. They should have just had a full movie and made it 2 hours and 40 minutes, as opposed to dragging their feet through the whole damn thing.

And they will have ressurrect Johnny Depp from the dead at the ends of the world. Lord Cutler Beckett, Davy Jones, Admiral James Norrington, and Captain Sao Feng (Chow Yun-Fat) are the enemies. The Plot is something like Lord Cutler Beckett assembled a massive fleet with the East India Trading Company to rid the seas of Pirates and etc.

My cousin and 13 of his friends decorated a car as a ship then dressed up as pirates and went to see the movie. They were happy cause they got applauded, got skipped to the head of the line by management, and had lots of girls wanting to take pictures with them. Then their "ship" got pulled over, but he let them go. I'm told it was amazing.

It was better than superman. Which I thought superman was just OK but thought it would have been a lot better than it had been. As for Pirates, I really enjoyed the quick one line humor such as hide all the rum and why is all the rum gone? It was a bit drawn out and long such as the fighting scene on the wheel but I enjoyed it and will look forward to the 3rd
