So, since the first thread I've increased my library by about 500 songs. Thank you guys, you have ap.nettified my music taste. Say Anything, Emery, Closure In Moscow, Ace Enders, TREOS, Mae, Waking Ashland, Acceptance, The Dear Hunter, and Straylight Run among others have graced my ipod. Now, suggest more. As additional motivation, my iPod is full, so any music you suggest will delete several shitty songs off my ipod.
And might even get you guys non-shitty reviews. So go go go go!

I could NEVER get into Anthony's voice. Thursday I've tried to listen to several times, and that doesn't work to me as well. I'll probably give them one last chance.

Space Ghost Cowboys - The Sad Album
Weekend Stars - Tambourine Girl
Time Vampire - Happy 2009 EP
Nick Corbo - Bird Watching in America
Get that new Vampire Weekend record, Contra. It's pretty good!
I also recommend the first Interpol LP.
If you're going to listen to a Bayside album, get that first one. It's incredible. Everything else is totally mediocre, imo.
Also, Prince.

Oh dude those are the newer songs, good but the old stuff is great. What to do when your dead is a concept album about a guy who kills himself (emo i know lol) but comes back as a ghost and watches people continue life with out him before accepting his fate in the end. If you listen to the track list in order it does a good job at painting an image with the story line.
Heres some songs Id suggest listening to.
What to do when You are dead.
The Truth About Heaven.
Remember to feel real.
One last regret.
Car underwater.
End of a Fraud.
Dream to make believe.
Rain Drops.
Being Your Walls.
Frost and Front Steps.

I despise John Mayer. Like...I can't stand him.
Anberlin I love, along with Mayday. I have both of theirs.
Cinematic Sunrise I love too.
The rest I'll check out. Though Modest Mouse I can't get in to either.

In regards to female singers, I would try:
She & Him - Volume One or any Eisley record.
Check out Title Fight - The Last Thing You Forget, Saves The Day - Through Being Cool, Set Your Goals - Mutiny, City and Colour - Bring Me Your Love [since you enjoy good male vocals] , Portugal. The Man - Waiter: You Vultures [that is always a good place to start], Johnny Foreigner - Waited Up 'Til It Was Light, Death Cab For Cutie - Plans
hopefully you will get stoked on these recs

Driving East is great as well.
Flight 409 I always loved, since nobody knew about them. Love both versions of beauty in a car crash.

I agree. Everglow is amazing.
To the people who suggested Death Cab, let's just say I really have never liked their style. I'll give them another chance though...
I think last time I recced you XO, but any Elliott Smith will do really. I think that's the best to start with though.
