That was a very well-done and in-depth interview. Dave sounds one smart dude who knows what he wants to do with his musical career and with his band. I got into Mae early last year right before The Everglow came out and I have been in love with their music ever since. I'm excited to hear what's up next!

Yeah...I love the description of Crazy 8's
I really hope they go with Gil for producing the album....but either way all of the ones they listed were amazing

i dont understand them and the whole christian band thing...its confusing...like they write a song like tisbury lane and i have heard dave singing worship songs, but i think ive heard him say cuss words and stuff...i dont know, its just kind of confusing...dont get me wrong, i love mae to death, ive just always been confused about that...

oh, some people just automatically label them a christian band for some of their lyrics and because they're on tooth & nail [which is usually labeled as a "christian"... label].
and i think that people read way too much into tisbury lane, anywho.

If you read closely on this interview and on others that Dave has done he is very clear that they are in a growing portion of their lives as a band/artist and as individuals, forming their opinions and thoughts about this life and the next... When considering that tisbury Lane was written back in the D.B. era, it is more likely they would have been far more influenced then by their strong spiritual upbringing. Moreover, just because you've Dave's cussed a few times doesn't mean he doesn't have a saving faith in Christ (or not... whatever).
I hope everyone can really start to see and appreciate the truth behind this band though. If you pick up The Everglow S.E. DVD you can get a good look at how honest and straightforward they are with their fans about where they're at as a band and people. The more I learn about Mae, the more I like them, almost to the point where I could hate the sound of their new record and still dig them.

My guesses would be:
Where the Falls Begin (for sure)
A Day in the Life (even though they played it 3 years ago)
Crazy 8's (new song off new album)
Last Call (Maybe since they retired it like forever ago)
We're so far away (for sure)
