Ya... I know that. They signed to this label just to get their record in Japan.

Sorry, I assumed that was common knowledge. I should have been a little more clear.

well...it's not really a record deal, it's more like a distro deal through that japenese label, and I think that's where the confusion is. It's not like this Japanese label now has rights to their masters or anything.

I was really hoping that I would never hear anything about them again on this site.

No such luck.

What Pat is posting is direct word for word from the morning of's myspace bulletin, so it actually might be a real label deal so who knows. What I do know though is that the 2 new versions of The Sound of Something Secure, and Grey Turning Gold sound horrible compared to the demos.

It depends on the territory that a contract is for. In this case, the band signed a deal to have their album distributed in Japan (In Ya Face doesn't sign American bands to full record deals). If an American label were to offer the band a record deal, the territory would most likely be for "the world, ex Japan," meaning that the label has the rights to put out music everywhere but Japan, where In Ya Face owns the rights to put out the album.

no wayy. the new version of "sound of something secure", old everybody go to yans, sounds so much tighter. ill agree the other song dosent do that much for me though compaired to the old version.
