The Rules of Attraction is a very underrated movie. If you havent seen it, I suggest you rent it. Or if you have the IFC channel, its on right now...

The movie is awesome. Except when the gay guy jacks off while looking at James Van Der Beek.

it is a very underrated film. I think I'll read the book after I read the awesomeness of Snakes On A Plane and Furies Of Calderon.

I've never read the book but I really enjoyed the movie alot.

I heard that Jame Vander Beek's character is the brother of the main guy from American Psycho, but they cut that out of the film.

Yeah he is. The Batemens and other characters rotate in and out of all (maybe only most) of the author (Bret Ellison Ellis)'s books.

i read the Wikipedia about the author after reading The Rules of Attraction. If i had the time, I'd love to read all of his books to see how he incorperates all of the characters.

Patrick Bateman also makes an appearance in Glamorama.

He also plays a very important role in Lunar Park, although in a different way.

Terribly upset Glitterati and Glamorama were never made as planned (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glitterati).
