i just happened to stumble across the trailer today. it had some really cool elements involved with it. i really want more info on it.

does anyone know if they're still legitimately working on it or if it's just dead in the water?

i think they have something like duke nukem forever coming out sometime soon. i think might have read something like that awhile ago but i might be wrong. that was a great game i used to love it when it first came out.

Eariler in the year there were reports of it coming out this year, but that has already been debunked. No new news. Maybe someday we will get to play "The definative game of 1997." I think we should take bets on this or Chinese Demoarcy and which one is gonna be out first.

haha thats great... i vote for Chinese Democracy. This always happens designers will say its coming out soon then three years later it still isn't out but in this case its been since 1997 almost 10 years. when it does come out it better be good. that is if i still play video games when it comes out.

i don't really care when the new one comes out i love old version. it was the first game i ever played on my computer.

i enjoyed the first one thoroughly. i only ever played multi-player on it though. but it was fun as hell.

This game has been delayed longer than any other I have heard of.

When it comes out, won't the graphics be extremely outdated, considering it has been getting developed since pre -1997

Haha, with the graphics from back in the day it was always pretty hard to tell. I thought of that once, but then I decided that they still don't really look like tassels.

no, apparently that's one of the main reasons it isnt out yet, they keep updating the graphics engine so it stays current. i read somewhere that it's now slated to come out on the 360 which is good cause my comp could not run it.

i would love to know how much money has gone into this project by now. i would honestly just settle for some new screenshots by the end of the year.

I heard a rumor they might be going with the Unreal Tournament Engine 3 which would be sweet, but hoenstly, I don't think this is coming out for a long while. I mean look at Prey. Ten Years and it's JUST coming out next week. And that's on the Doom 3 engine, which means no physics and interaction with the enviornment, and just like good shadows, but overall bland visuals. I think this should have been cancelled years ago and something else produced.

Is it being developed by 3D Realms, cause that would definately make sense.

Oh and I know Eb games/Gamestop aren't taking reserves, and I saw nothing on it at e3, so if it's coming I wouldn't hold my breath for like another two years.
