Creatures - I, Lucifer
Record Label: Eulogy Recordings
Release Date: August 4, 2009
Who?
Ever wonder what Metallica would've sounded like had they actually gone back the their vintage sound? Look no further. Creatures, a five piece thrash outfit from Southern California, have perfected that sound and are looking to bash your fucking head in with it. Combining the best elements of 80's thrash, their Eulogy debut is fast, loud, and vicious.
How Is It?
Intense. You haven't heard music like this in years, unless you're still living in the 80's and spin old school Metallica and Slayer records daily. The lyrics are all about hopelessness, despair, and anger, and that is easily heard through the throaty growls. Every song is short, fast and loud with only one track eclipsing 3:00 minutes. Musically, they are very good. The solos aren't "face melting," but they're still pretty damn good. This album will make you want to get up and start a pit in the middle of your room, and God hope there's no one around as it could get very ugly. If you ever want to destroy something beautiful, throw on this disc and have at it.
