Heard today that Lebron isnt signing yet, because he wants to see what moves Ferry makes, and see if he can improve that team anymore. He doesn't want to sign away five years of his life and be in the position Garnett is in. He can get more money in a bigger market. Does this worry you at all, or has it been talked about around there much?

dear lebron,
come to NY and save the knicks

If he did come to the knicks, it would be ridiculous. I'd see his face 400 times a day.
How could the Knicks possibly do it? Will they (somehow) be under the cap after next season? I don't see Cleveland doing a sign-and-trade.

they already have the highest payroll in the league by far...and im pretty sure they wouldnt care if they added lebron
you know much life that would put back into the knicks? i know theres no way in hell it happens...its fun to dream though

find someone stupid enough to take on marbury/francis let contracts expire and they might be in good shape but that obviously isnt happening

RUMOR, i say rumor lightly...but ive heard the lakers are wanting to clear up cap space and have kobe and lebron running things. if they could co-exist, that'd be scary.

he'll be back.
he can make more money somewhere else. but this is home.
i honestly don't see him leaving. ferry's been doing a good job so far, and i know he has more plans for this summer.
it probably should worry me a bit, but i don't let it. i've convinced myself he's a cav for life.

id hate to see him leave cleveland like that, the city would probably implode.
but i have a feeling he jets out. money talks.

I remember Simmons mentioning somthing like this ("One day Lebron will realize his team went 5-40 and wonder "you know, maybe I SHOULDN'T sign that 80 million dollar extension" - around that).
I doubt he will simply because cleveland is his home town and the entire city praises him. I sure would love to see him leave though.

the thing that scares me the most though, is if ferry feels pressured to do something big and does soemthing stupid. like, say, bring steve francis to town.
lebron's gotta see that he's doing wonders so far with what he can. i'm convinced me and lebron were the only two that wanted z back after last season, and lebron got his way. they had a nice draft this year and took a big step to having replacements for the aging players. he brought him in larry hughes. and when he went down, he didn't hesitate to make a move and get flip. i know he's trying to make a push at garnett, but there's no youth really to offer. especially not enough to compete with everybody else in the league who wants him.
lebron was the number one overall pick. that means this team was absolute shit as little as four years ago. and they were shit for quite a few years leading up to that. they've gotten better every year with him and they're continuing to improve. ferry is doing everything he can to make that improving go faster and faster.
i don't know exactly what lebron needs to see to convince him of that, but there's plenty of proof that ferry's doing a damn good job.
if they go into the season now with the team they have and nobody gets hurt, they win 60 games. i honestly believe that. i know something needs to be done extra, but at this point i understand it can't happen over night.
i just hope lebron sees that too.

Home or not, if i was lebron i'd be waiting to see just what Ferry does, too. No reason to sign myself into a carrying-the-team-night-in-night-out type garnett situation if the GM can't/doesn't get anything done.

I hope LeBron sticks around and the Cavs somehow get KG. I really don't want to see LeBron go anywhere else, it'd be terrible.

Lebron should stay put, but if he does leave town then I hope it's somewhere out west so the Celtics hardly ever have to compete with him.
