Of course everyone on here hates Attack Attack! and is at least slightly looking forward to OM&M's first album, but where are the AA! fans at on this? I wanna here it.

Honestly, I liked Attack Attack!'s first album a whole lot, I thought it was perfect for the type of music they offer us. But I predict that the next album without Austin Carlile will be terrible. They'll lose what little bit of a Christian fan base they have left and only douches will like them.

However OM&M has Austin Carlile and if you've been paying attention to them, you would know that they're gonna be SICK! I can't wait!

Therefor IMO, OM&M will DESTROY AA! on each bands respective next (OM&M fist) album.

I believe this because although I DO like Austin and AM a fan of OMAM, it is not the same. AA adds samples and shit and little techno parts as evident in StickStickly that Of Mica and Men does NOT have so far. I am not saying that I do not like them just that I am looking foreward to AA more than OMAM..

NOW, the difference is.... Austin WAS the vocalist when AA was recording the last CD, and Caleb is now.. There might be a drastic difference between the 2 and their choice of writing (if they remain the writers of course), that will seperate the 2. We also have the fact that since Caleb is now AA's singer, and he has a little heavier sounding voice (IDK how else to describe it), maybe the music will change as well which might lead to a brand nwe decent AA for some, and a downfall for others. Of mice and men on the other hand only has like, what 4 songs out now? That means when we hear the CD were not positive what to expect and if they throw something different out there who the hell is anyone to complain since they are new you know what I mean. People expect certian bands to be what they were in the past, but with a new band you get the freedom to do whatever the fuck you want.

Attack Attack!'s sophomore album will feature guitars tuned to drop B throughout the majority, if not all of the album. I think that's a strong indicator that the only way you can make an accurate assumption about what the album will sound like, is if you've heard their new song played live, or seen a good quality video of it, because it's hard to picture the happy sounding, synth abusing Attack Attack! going brutal.

I'll say I'm a huge fan of Attack Attack!, but after seeing them perform live, I think 6 times now, I can say pretty confidently that the shows have gotten progressively worse over time. The fan base has turned to douchebags, and the band tries less and less to put on a good performance. It's also pretty unfortunate that Johnny doesn't use his Antares box when singing anymore, people can hate on Auto-tune all they want, but it made the shows better.

I haven't seen OM&M live yet, but soon. Will be seeing them in Orlando a couple days before I see Attack Attack! again, so I'll be able to give a better opinion then.

As for their recordings, and upcoming albums, both are being / have been recorded, mixed and mastered by Joey Strugis. Both will have that 'Sturgis sound' to them, regardless of what band they are, and both will sound amazing. Attack Attack! has commented on the last album, talking about 'how shitty it was', so I'm guessing that they have high goals for this next one.

If you re-read my post you will soon notice I NEVER said they were a "Christian Band", I just pointed out the fact that they do carry a christian fan base, which definately has been reduced greatly since Austin Carlile left. Also, Carlile left the band about a year and a half ago. You, my good sir saw them right after Nick Barham left. Nick Barham was a total douche bag and was a terrible front man. I was fortunate enough to see them in April 2008. With Austin Carlile. This was like two months before he left.

I'm looking forward to OM&M cd. right now it seems like a toss up. It might take both of them to come out with a CD to decide. AA! is going to have to make a heavyer sound if they decide to keep caleb as vocals cause his scream is much differant than austins

i just stumbled on to this thread lol. But i just downloaded Of Mice and Men's new cd it's really good way better than Attack Attack's first cd. so yea AA needs to step it up but their new song's ok, but its tame compared to the intensity of OM&M
