I don't know why warped tour doesn't appeal to me as much anymore. I never realized till after I read an invterview with Kevin Lyman that Warped had a target market age range of like 12 to 19 and that they were shooting for this to be kids first concert. This might be why the tour doesn't appeal to me as much anymore based because they are gearing it to the younger kids. Anyways, someone mentioned wondering what this like would be in 5 years, I'd question will it be around in that time. Wasn't there some interview with Lyman about the mounting frustration he was having with bands months before the first act was even announced and how he just wanted to forget about the tour? I guess I wonder at what point he'll say I'm done. Hopefully he won't because I think it's a great tour for exposing new bands, but who knows.

I hope you weren't accusing me of complaining, Like I said I think the tour is great, especially for the up and coming bands and even for some of the already established bands. It's true you can't beat the price. Had I not had something going when it came to Milwaukee i would have gone, there are a handful of bands on the tour that I haven't seen in awhile and I'm sure I would have checked out some new groups that I hadn't heard of.

Far too many people complaining over two bands that dropped off of warped tour for their own reasons. (FFTL, SKSK).

Alot of people say Warped Tour sucks and other shit like that, but seriously people. Where else, other than Bamboozle, are you going to be able to pay $25 (give or take a service charge) to see 150+ bands, veteran and up and coming bands. Your not gonna like every band on the tour, guaranteed.

The reason there are so many bands is to try to make an honest attempt to give the masses what they want. You can't please 100% of the people 100% of the time.

As far as the whole SKSK thing, if the band is given the opportunity to play serious time on the warped tour, they should definitely respect the rules, paid guests or not, and be thankful for the chance. Unless they were alot larger and had more pull and a way bigger draw, i'm sure they coulda got away with it.

Anyhow, to everyone that bitches about warped tour being lame, or sorry, or whatever. Don't go. No one is forcing you too. Go spend $20 on a 5 - 7 band tour. Every concert can be the most amazing concert ever, even the local band shows. Its all in how you have fun and make of the experience. If you hated your past warped tour experiences, its probably cause you just didn't know how to have fun. Go out and have a blast, even if the bands aren't your most favorite-to-die-for bands.

Warped tour has gotten ALOT stricter this year, maybe i'm wrong, but i noticed now they have local stage passes, so if you have one of those, it doesn't even allow you to go backstage, or on just any stage for that matter, like last year, and it's reallly limited. hopefully it turns out to be alot better than what i am expecting, but my impression on this years tour isn't that great..
