New England Patriots vs. Carolina Panthers

Winner: Carolina Panthers

What do we think of this?

Also, Sean Salisbury says that the Panthers are the best all around team in the NFL no matter what.

While it's not a done deal by any means, one could definitely make a good argument for Carolina.

Yay, but I don't think the Panthers are going to dominate by any means. I expect a lot of parity like last year.

I'll go with the Steelers repeating over the Bucs.

Yep. Carolina does have one of the better all around teams in the NFL. I'm not sure they're the best though.

Those dudes are so retarded. Seriously. The Pats aren't what they used to be. The Panthers aren't THAT complete. The fuck?

I don't think there's any clear favored team this year. Plus, this shit is too early to tell. I hate it.

ESPN has some bad analysts...

But NONE are worse than the NFL guys. Except for Mike Golic., they're horrible. Sean Salisbury and Mark Schlerith know nothing. The Patriots are not where they used to be, and the Panthers are not the best team in the NFL. This season is going to be exciting because there is no favorite, everyone is a contendor.

Yeah, they have a strong team, but I'm not willing to put money on them. It's anyone's guess this year. But still no hope for the lowly Saints, sadly.

I guess the could be right.

Not because I feel the same, but because everyone seems to be a contender.

I couldn't even give my guess, it would be to random even for a guess. After the first couple weeks of the preseason, I'll take a guess.

Go Steelers.

at least you have reggie bush.

Yeah, I do take solace in that fact. Hopefully Deuce will be able to stay healthy this year for a strong two back system. Too many questions on defense though.

Carolina is one of those teams that has the formula to win a lot of games and get deep into the playoffs. Like the Pats and the Steelers of recent years, they really don't have any standout players minus steve smith and are are basically just solid in all aspects of the game. I still don't think they'll win the NFC though.

if carolina or seattle aren't in the super bowl out of the nfc i'll be shocked. those two teams are leaps and bounds above the rest of the conference.

the afc, however, is anybody's game.

my pick as of now is pittsburgh / carolina.

pats might not eeven make the playoffs, let alone the superbowl

yeah one of the dumbest things about them picking the PATS was in an earlier segment they said they had the worst off-season in the NFL

Steelers > anyone in the NFC

dude, i understand you are a dolphins fan ...but i wouldn't be too cocky. The Dolphins have still yet to prove anything and they have question marks at QB and RB.

it's stupid to predict things like this months before even a preseason game. espn likes to suck a lot of big hairy balls.

culpepper is coming off surgery, you said it yourself. He sustained a major injury and to assume anyone will just bounce back off that and be their former self is wishful thinking. Plus, he still has to answer questions on whether or not he can win without throwing to Randy Moss.

As for Brown, I've said this multiple times before and I believe it to be true ..he's still, to some degree, a rookie. He had to split carries with Ricky Williams and as the season went on, it became clear that Ricky was the first option out of the backfield. Brown still needs to prove he can be a full-time, durable RB. He's got plenty of talent but he needs to stay healthy and gain some experience.

I think the Dolphins have a bright future, I just think everyone is jumping on the bandwagon one season too early. Brown is still developing and the QB situation needs to be settled. They also need to solidify the defense, although they took steps in the right direction with a couple offseason pickups.

Seahawks are still the strongest team in the NFC on paper. We'll see how they actually perform.

well you said they might miss the playoffs so unless you expect buffalo and the jets to take the division, i think it was pretty simple to read through the lines, haha.

well yeah of course i think miami will win the division but still, that leaves 2 wildcard spots. and i dont think the pats did enough this offseason (did they even do anything...?) to make their team better, thats all

Eh, i think the colts lost a big part of their game when they let go of edge. Yea the other guys are there, but i dont think they will be near as effective.
It would be nice to see favre at least make the playoffs again before he retires but sadly i doubt that will hapen.

I don't see them winning the Super Bowl and I don't them getting as far this year. But I can easily see why they are the best team on paper in the NFC.

The Colts D is still really good, I don't think they'll miss James as much as everyone thinks. It'll be interesting. And I think the Pack will win the North haha.

I think if they can lock up home field advantage again they have a great chance of making it to the super bowl.

why predictions of the superbowl are even made is beyond me, it's the biggest crapshoot each year in any sport. it's the most unpredictable sport in terms of what teams will be good and what teams won't live up to expectations.
