Dallas's vocals on Side Walk When She Walks are so beautiful, story of his life though.

I am a Dallas Green enthusiast I would say... He makes the band pop I think although the three vocalists is also cool they can cover most sounds because of that I think, pretty, punk, and screaming. It adds good variety.

love AOF, definitely one of my favorites. can't beat boiled frogs or 44 caliber love letter intro as the other guy said.

Dallas has the voice of an angel. He makes the band for me. If he wasn't in it, I'm not sure I would still be interested.. It's what differentiates them.

One of the best bands around. Seriously go see them live if you haven't or are thinking about it, its always an unforgettable show.

AOF are my current favorite band, hands down, and have been for a few years now. I'd show a little more love if they would get a move on it and do a proper US tour already. Song that grew on me most from Old Crows/Young Cardinals, to my surprise: Heading For The Sun.

If you want my e-love, it can be bought by purchasing me a pair of Alexisonfire sneakers: http://www.loudclothing.com/proddetail.php?prod=MFL_alexisonfir e_adultblk&cat=929.

I'm seeing them live for the 4th time in March and they have failed to disappoint me with a show, one of the best bands I have seen live. Crisis is probably my favourite album but all their other releases are solid.

Also I should note that if you used the search button I'm sure there is an official thread for this band..

always have liked these dudes, have all their albums on my phone. i like dallas green on his own also, hes following the same format as dashboard confessional has done haha.

solo acoustic to band and electric.

oh yea, and came from a full band prior to solo efforts.

and no, im not saying dallas green's music is the same as dashboard, obviously dallas is superior.

New album isn't great. Watch Out! on the other hand is fantastic

Edit: Listening to Watch Out again, it's so damn good, great vocals and great lyrics.

Probably my favorite band, planning a trip to Canada to see them when they tour in a few months.

I love all of their albums. The most recent one is my second favorite.

Crisis > Old Crows/Young Cardinals > Watch Out > S/T

I know this is opposed to the general concensus but it is what I like.

Its funny this thread makes it seem like Alexisonfire just started or is just getting known or something.
They definetly remind me of being in highschool although I feel like i've grown out of them a bit. Watch out! is probably my favorite album by them, a great mix of the vocals/screaming. Their self titled is a close second. A couple of months ago I got to be an extra on their video shoot for Born and Raised seem like super cool dudes took time to talk to people and apologized for the boringness of the day haha.

Crisis is by far the best imo as well. Such a solid album.

I like everything from them but Crisis. I saw them in July of 2006, right before I went to college. It was one of my first concerts and I wish I could see them again. I missed them in 2007 but I hope they make it through here this year.

Awesome band and I must admit Old Crows was pretty mediocre, never seen them live because they've never been here to my recollection

they have been my favorite band for about 5 years or so. seen them 4 times and everytime is just as refreshing and breathtaking (yes, refreshed and breathtaking all at once), and all of their albums have respect and love from me. if i had to rate them i wouldnt. theyre all different and at different points in their lives.

Crisis is goos, just not great, I'd go Watch Out > Crisis > S/T > OC/YC

I love this band. Saw them twice last year including in June at the Borderline, which was like a tiny pub sized venue, fucking amazing.

Whether I prefer Crisis to Watch Out! depends on my mood at the time so I'd put my order as:

Crisis = Watch Out! > Alexisonfire > OC/YC

Don't have a lot of love for the newest album other than maybe 5 songs from it. :/

Though Watch Out! brought me the first Alexisonfire song I fell in love with 'No Transitory', I still hold Crisis as their best album thus far.
I'm predicting that in another month or so Old Crows/Young Cardinals will gain speed. They started on the right foot, but their lyrical gravity toward the political spectrum is granting an uncomfortable state. Though it doesn't trail far from their usual spread of analytical lifestyle, Alexisonfire is slowly clearing the audio on their words. This gives them that "poisoned tongue" that people are complaining about.
Overall, I'm loving the band and they are doing great.
