What Should I Write My Editorial Essay On

My English class is working on our rough drafts tomorrow, and I'm not really sure what I should write my editorial/persuasive essay on. I've got some ideas, but none that I wouldn't want to kill myself while writing essays on them. Does anyone have any ideas for an interesting topic for me to write an editorial essay about?

It's just small stuff I don't really care about, like the school budget cuts, sports finances, etc. Issues that I'm aware of at my school, but I don't really care about writing about these things.

Seriously, I was researching names's popularities because I was really bored and I'm cool like that and there's that new facebook app and I saw this and I was like "uhhhh wtf?" So I looked up the origin/meaning and it said: American-heaven and it clicked and I died on the inside.

Understood--I was in newspaper in high school my senior year and those were the stories that no one wanted to do, so I did them. But on the bright side, I got to rub elbows (haha) with higher ups at school so that was cool.

Maybe you could write an editorial about how there are more important things than worrying about sports finances and maybe be more concerned with other activities being cut (I'm presuming that that might be an issue too--it is around here).....just a thought.

Or maybe just be a complete smart ass and write an editorial how you think it's stupid to be forced to write an editorial on something you don't care about, haha.
