7/6/06 - Grog Shop - Cleveland, Ohio

I'll just start off by saying YouInSeries' singer was sick and they didn't perform (which bummed me out because I really like their CD).

Anyays, I'm not familiar with Days Away hardly at all; I've probably only heard 1 or 2 of their songs previous to seeing them. I was really impressed with them though, it's always refreshing nowadays to see a singer in a band that can actually sing. They sounded really tight and very cohesive. The drummer is amazing in this band. I have no clue about the songs they played I just remember them announcing a new song.

Now onto TREOS. I was skeptical about how they would perform with the replacement guitar player but it was all in vain. They were still awesome, with Alex and Brendan taking over Casey's vocal parts. The replacement was good for what he was, he got into a bit but all in all my focus stayed on the rest of the band. They played about half of the CD. I had just seen them a couple months ago on their headlining tour so this show was basically a shorter version of that concert minus Casey.

Another performance I was skeptical of, due to the fact that I had seen live footage of Circa and they showed Anthony Green either sounding good or sounding pretty bad. Luckily he sounded great last night as did the rest of the band. They pretty much played all of Juturna with one or two new songs (which sounded pretty good). The crowd at the Grog Shop was pretty into it. Towards the end when they were playing "Oh, Hello" it got pretty insane. People were hanging from the ceiling and I'm alltogether surprised AntGreen came out of that place alive. Also towards the end beachballs with glowsticks in them were thrown into the crowd which was really cool looking watching them get bounced around.

In conclusion, it was a great show all around and I've now come to the conclusion that I definitely enjoy Circa better than Saosin.

You need to start listening to Days Away. Also, I had the same feeling about Circa before I saw them the first time, but they put on an amazing show.

I will, I was pretty impressed with them, I wish I would have made an effort to go up closer so I could check out their drummer in action.

I didn't know any of the song names of Days Away so I can't help you there (like I said, I know they played a new song though). I don't remember the order of songs but TREOS played:

Planning A Prison Break
The Rival Cycle (closed with that one I believe)
The Evidence
The War Of All Against All
Flee The Factory
Dead Men Tell No Tales
Epilogue

Looking back at that one I can't believe they didn't play This Armistice so either they didn't or I spaced out and can't remember it. But I'm about 90% sure they didn't.

Circa played all of Juturna if I'm not mistaken and 1, maybe 2, new song(s)

Listening to it now, basing this off of memory, here's all (or close to it) the songs Days Away played in no order:

God and Mars
Gravity
Ideas
Mirrors
T. Kline's Decline (this was my favorite)
new song

It feels like I'm missing like one, but I'm not sure.

Days Away usually plays It's Not Over. I'm guessing that's the one you're missing.

Thanks for the setlists. I'm going next week, I can't wait to see Circa again and this'll be like my 7th time seeing TREOS.

I just saw them in houston, i mostly came for DA, as you can tell they are my fav. band. I Saw then once before they had Mapping an Invisible World out and they were just good...notning amazing. I knew they had an amazing drummer...well they have amazing everything lets be honest. But seeing them just warm up was like no other band ive seen. they were amazing and i was in awe the whole damn time. They went from being my 2nd fav band all time (behind 3eb) to my fav. just from seeing that live show. this was the setlist

Its not over
Gravity
T Kline's Decline ( i recorded this, witch was amazing, then fucking delted it on accdident, never been more pissed)
New song...i forgot the name but it was great
The Fight
Mirrors
God & Mars

I expected this to be good, but never to be this good. the only other band ive seen that blew me away like this was Mute Math. ill only give mute math the edge on best live preformance because they blew me away and i had never even heard of them.

They start a headling run in texas next week in austin...im pretty sure im gonna go to see them play a few more songs. EVERYONE needs to listen to days away.
