I just heard the entire new This Day and Age (http://www.absolutepunk.net/thisdayandage) album and I must say this CD is going to surprise a lot of people. There are two new songs on streaming on their AP profile (http://www.absolutepunk.net/thisdayandage), and I think this album may be the one that puts 111 Records (http://www.111records.com) on the map.

The stuff they've released so far is exceptional. How does the rest of the album stack up to the songs they've put out so far?

I like the 3 new songs more than any song on Always Leave the Ground.

I hope there's another "Second Place Victory" on this album. That was the first song I ever heard by them and it got me so hooked on them.

That makes me happy, they have some good bands that deserve so much attention.

Has Cute's new cd already out sold Always Leave The Ground? Just wondering on behalf of Buffalonians.

After another listen to these 2, this is getting dangerously close to Copeland territory. Am I the only one that thinks so?

No, I got that thought after the first listen. But, I like This Day and Age a bit more.

I'm excited. I first heard them on a 111 sampler I picked up when Mashlin was opening for Mae, and I went to buy the cd, but Best Buy quit carrying it...hope they bring it back when this one releases.

Didn't spill canvas put 111 on the map?

I would have to agree this record will help put one eleven on the map as well as TDAA. It is exactally what a sophomore release should sound like and then some. If you have not seen this band live yet. You need to. They are a great band and great human beings. They deserve the best.

The Spill Canvas definitely opened indie fans (and visitors of this website) to what 111 has to offer, but I don't think the band has reached the pinnacle of their success and has yet to really break.

Hell, even in a recent interview posted on this site with Dave from Mae, he didn't really even know who they were before he decided they should tour with them. That right there goes to show how much success The Spill Canvas doesn't have quite yet. But they will. This Day & Age along with The Spill Canvas will become huge and will undoubtedly sign to majors and help 111 be put on the map with bigger indie labels like FBR and T&N.

I have no doubt that TDAA will turn a lot of heads with their new release. It's just beautiful music.
