View Full Version : The Number Twelve Looks Like You's last show or The Wonder Years' CD release show!?

I have a dillema on my hands. There are two bands I love, The Number Twelve Looks Like You (http://www.myspace.com/tntllu) and The Wonder Years (http://www.myspace.com/thewonderyearspa). They are playing very special shows, but the problem is, they're on the same day.

I've been listening to the Number 12 since I was in middle school, and this will be their last show. However, the drive to Hackensack, NJ will be a pain to do and especially because my dad will complain for weeks about driving me up there and back, about two hours each way. However, I've never seen them live and it would be a memorable show to go to.

The Wonder Years are doing a CD release show for their new album, The Upsides. I've been a fan of these dudes for a while now, and this album is fantastic. I love it. This is also their last show with their drummer Mike Kennedy, and it's also going to be hometown show. Since it's right in Chalfont, I can easily drive by myself to it and not have to deal with my dad complaining about driving for 4 hours. Also, I could probably bring friends with me since its likely going to be at-the-door entrance.

The question is, which do I go to? I really need some help deciding.

The Number 12. Last show ever, you might never be able to see them again. There will be plenty of opportunities to see The Wonder Years again, CD release show or not.

Since you've never seen The Number Twelve before and you really like them, they are the obvious choice. Try to carpool with someone so your parent won't complain about the distance.

The Wonder Years show since they are apparently the band that is going to save the scene, or something like that.

I much prefer The Wonder Years. In-fact I don't particularly enjoy The Number Twelve Looks Like You at all really, but the fact that it's their last show makes me lean more towards them.

you cannot even begin to compare the two bands. #12 is the sound of animals raping eachother, but the wonder years are 100% pure uncut awesome. if you go see #12 then you have dain bramage.

I have never seen them live either, I'm making a 5 hour drive to attend. C'mon dude, last show... with former members, meaning Justin will most likely be there.

& you know they're gonna play Civeta Dea

The Wonder Years, but it depends on your preference. I'm not a fan of #12; not my style.

Wow, that's hard. TWY are one of my favorite bands and Kennedy is an awesome dude, but this is The Number 12's last show ever, so I say that because the opportunity will never present itself again, especially since you've ever seen them before. Both bands put on excellent live shows though.

The Wonder Years. Cant wait to see them. And I agree. The #12 does sound like animals raping each other

I'm not a #12 fan, but if I liked two bands, and those were the circumstances, I'd definitely see the band whose last show it was

The Number 12 just because it's their last show. You'll have more opportunities to see The Wonder Years.

If you've never seen Number 12 live then you owe it to yourself to catch their last show. It's hard to find a band that puts that much energy and passion into their performances.

You gotta go to the last show. If #12 is really one of your favorite bands and you pass on it, you'll regret it later on.

I voted Wonder Years, but after reading your explanation, I'd say The Number 12.

And I live in Bucks too, I'm in Warminster. Where you from?

I don't like number 12, but dude, if you were into them for the years just go and see them playing last show.
and well, Mike is an awesome dude, but its just a beginning for TWY, so you'll see them soon even if without Kennedy cause I see it makes no difference for you.

I love both bands but definitely the number 12. You'll have a million other chances to see TWY. The number 12 was incredible the one time I got to see them, sadly I don't think I'll be making it out to their last show.

I voted wonder years but go see your favorite band for the last time. The wonder years are touring constantly. I bet they would say the same thing...

Go see Number Twelve. It's their last show ever. I would kill to be able to go to that show.
