My advice is to enjoy undergraduate while you're still there.
If you have specific questions, feel free to ask me. I took the MCAT a while ago, but I'm sure I could give you some advice if needed on that. What are you using to review?
Anyway, where are you planning on applying?

My advice is to quit now while you can. That is all.

I'm pre-med and just finished my first semster of college. (been pre-med since day one as well). Bring on the big ass text books and sleepless nights. I'm also taking a class at the firestation to be an EMT so I get to stay up for 4 years straight. yayyy

Yeah, I think I had heard that book was good. I used a different one myself, but, to be honest, the MCAT is really about your reading comprehension skills (and your ability to write a succinct essay following the rules). So if you have good reading comprehension skills you should be fine. You should be trying for over a 30 though, so if you have practice tests to try to give yourself an idea, that might not hurt.
As for where to apply, if you applying this year, you should seriously consider researching some schools. What's your GPA/major and what sort of extra things have you done? I think I applied to 10 places, and I think that's pretty common. Don't get too stressed though, because you'll want to enjoy your time while you have it.

Yeah, you should be fine with some good schools. That's a good GPA and a unique major (which I had myself as well). I assume you've had some volunteer work or some health-care related work in there.

I'm back in school to be a radiology tech, but may try med school at some point. The whole student loan/never sleeping thing doesn't really appeal to me at the moment, though.

I decided not to take any required classes for med. school aside from English in Freshman year. As a result, I fully expect to have to take two consecutive years of biology/physics/chemistry. All at once.

I was pre-med, but decided against it at some point within the past year. Technically I still am pre-med, since as a biomedical engineer major, the pre-med requirements are within the BME requirements... but realistically, I'm not too interested in being a doctor. I just want to research. And I'm already getting myself into enough debt choosing a school with a good BME program.
