You see, I'm not very popular so I find myself taking solace in the misery of those around me.

Who else finds themselves in this tizzy?

It's a very common thing for humans to take solace in the misery of others

Not at all. There's nothing about someone else feeling bad that makes me feel good.

All things work themselves out. In time.

Thats what life is about; belittling people close to you for your own amusement.

Misery loves company, you just need to find a reason to stop being miserable and your happiness and the people around you's happiness will come together.

If you're happy and you know it, make fun of others. That doesn't sound right...

I always found that people calling bad things karma are just as bad as people that take solace in the misery of others

depends on who the person is.

thank you, i agree. i don't feel like i can answer this poll accurately as there is not a "sometimes" option. it really depends on the circumstances and the person involved. it's easy to say "no, I never do this" but I honestly don't think that's being completely real. I think most people at some point in their life will get a small glimmer of joy (even if it's kept deep inside, only lasts for a second or two, and is not shared with anyone else) at someone else's misfortune. it's not something to be proud of but it's something to at least acknowledge as existing.

Sometimes. Rarely, in cases where you are just a terrible person, I find amusement out of people suffering. I laugh until God smites me. The worst thing I've ever wished upon someone is their parents' divorce.
