It's about 5:00 in the morning and i cant sleep, so i kind of got inspired to write this.... kind of a rough draft threw it together rather quickly... please tell me what you think, and if it makes sense to anyone.
They keep playing sad songs on the radio
And I feel like im so alone
And this 30 minute drive
Seems like 30 hours
And to add on
Theres this pothole I could’ve swerved to miss
But I don’t
And the impact
Creates a pop in my wrist
Making me lose control
And the wheel to twist
For a few twisted seconds it feels like bliss
But the real side of me
Over powers that with a moment of clarity
Because theres got to be more than this
And just as the cars about to spiral into the abyss
I find the strength to regain control
And from this day on I will make an effort to be happy as I exist
There’s moments that occur that define paths people take in life
You can choose to step up to the plate
Or continue a degenerative state
So don’t wallow in sorrow
Because everyones got their problems
And they’re most likely worse than yours
It’s just a matter of how you solve them
And know
With every positive endeavor
Each day the grass will become greener
