Cartel (http://www.absolutepunk.net/cartel) is having bus driver issues. Below was taken from their Myspace (http://www.myspace.com/cartel) page regarding the problem:
"COUPLE OF ANNOUNCEMENTS.

FIRST OFF....TO THOSE OF YOU IN SAN FRAN....WE'RE SORRY WE WEREN'T ABLE TO COME OR ALERT YOU THAT WE WOULDN'T BE THERE. WE HAD TO REPLACE OUR BUS DRIVER LAST MINUTE FOR SAFETY CONCERNS. WE'LL BE BACK AT WARPED TOMORROW IN FRESNO AND WILL BE IN SACRAMENTO AS WELL SO COME MAKE THE TREK TO HANG IF YOU CAN. WE'RE SUPER SORRY. WE'LL BE BACK WITH NFG IN THE FALL SO COME SEE US THEN OTHERWISE.

SECONDLY.....WE ARE PLAYING EVERY DATE OF WARPED. OUR SET TIMES ARE NOT POSTED ON THE BUBBLE WITH ALL THE OTHER BANDS. COME FIND THE ERNIE BALL STAGE OR OUR TENT TO CHECK WHAT TIME WE ARE PLAYING. DO IT FAST TOO. THAT IS ALL.

WORD UP. WE LOVE YOU GUYS

WILL"

they ARE still in a van. They were on the headlining tour & probably wil be on the NFG tour.
See kids, theyre on this little thing called Warped Tour where MOST bands, especially ones playing the whole tour are on buses. I bet theyre splitting a bus with 1 or 2 other bands as well.

Yeah, Epic is paying for the bus. I'd imagine they're splitting with another band on the label.

My surprises with Cartel are that:

1. They are on the Ernie Ball stage. Seems too small for them.

2. They have a bus

GreenJellyBean

i wish they were on a bigger stage.
and i really hope i get to catch them at warped.

Ernie Ball gets buses for the bands who are on their stage all summer. Big D And The Kids Table had one last year. It's not the band or their label paying for it; it's Ernie Ball.

being on a bus on warped is pretty much a necessity. its not like a normal tour, its hell for bands. its when you bring out all the money you saved from your tours and use tour support to get a bus so you dont go fucking crazy in a fucking van.

it blows doing it in a van.

and actually.... ernie ball doesnt buy buses for the bands.

when iw as with a thorn for every heart last year they were on that stage and we had our luxurious van.
buses are expensive and stages definetly dont buy them for the bands, especially a side stage like ernie ball

i do wish cartel had a better stage but i read an article in ap about ernie balll and they get bigger bands to headline that stage to bring in fans to see the smaller bands.

Yeah, it's definitely too small for them. When I saw them in Columbus (OH), everyone was pretty much packed into the area like sardines.

Unless they just happened to have a particularly crappy stage setup that day. (It was situated in a corner, real close to a bunch of tents/vendors.)

While on the Van's Warped Tour they have their own bus, it is not being shared unless someone needs to hitch a ride which they are happy to do. When they are off the tour they will be in the van again. Thank God they got rid of their driver. Pray for their safe return.

Epic is not paying for the bus, they used their own $$ from the headlining tour and merch. They are not sharing the bus.

Please go back and re read what you posted. You sound like a jack ass. The band has their future to worry about and surviving a road trip is one way to ensure they have a future. Moron!
