Valencia (http://www.myspace.com/valencia) is getting ready to invade Japan later this month! The guys are fortunate enough to be part of this years FUJI (http://www.smash-uk.com/frf06/line-up.html)Rock Festival on July 29th. Other bands included in the festival are: Scissor Sisters, Junior Senior, Wolfmother, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers!

yeah they had 2 japanese dates posted on their myspace. apparently their label is japanese based?
Thats awesome. Congrats for them. I saw them in a show at BG where there was only about 15 people there. They were good live even with the lead singer losing his voice , they had to stop. it was sad. Cant wait to see them again

i love valencia, but they're impossible to book!
i've tried twice now, once i had them, but they got food poisoning and cancelled last minute, the other time it just took to long for the guy i was talking with to get the ok for a venue before someone else got them. :(

They are like about the only scene mainstream punk band on that whole line up. Are they big in Japan or something?

iSurrender's not Japan-based...they had to hand over the booking there to someone else.
They're impossible to book because they're always out on tour. Those poor boys hardly get any rest, but they wouldn't have it any other way.
Keep trying, they love playing anywhere and everywhere.
