Here's (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=152327) my brutally honest review of the Sound of Superman soundtrack. Don't waste your time buying the CD, but be sure to read my review for a laugh or two.

no shit- it is pretty bad.

dang, that's harsh. while it's not the best cd, i don't think it's horrible.

It can't be that great if you are self proclaiming it as funny.

i like the mcs song on there better than anything on commit this to memory. and did the artwork really deserve a 4/10? i get that you didn't want that category boosting the average, but maybe that's a sign that the scoring system needs to be revised. seems like every album that a reviewer likes automatically gets a pass on artwork (and a few of the others) whether it deserves it or not.

You read my mind, Tony. This could have been a solid release, but it fell short on so many levels.

I disagree almost completely with this review.

the jack's mannequin song is amazing.

and quality songs from motion city, american hi-fi, nightmare, paramore, spill canvas, and maxeen.

it's not too bad

I didn't think this CD was as bad as made out to be... I mean, honestly, it's a CD based off a movie, you can't be expecting the CD of the year but it wasn't a total letdown.

Does anyone know anything about the band Royal on it, by the way? I've been having trouble finding, well, any other proof that they exist at all, and I thought they were half-decent and would be interested in hearing more by them.

I actually liked this album a lot. The tracks by MCS, TSC, Maxeen, American Hi-Fi, and TREOS are all awesome.

this cd had potential to be a great cd but really fell short. i really only like the paramore cover.
