View Full Version : I'm just not feeling happy right now

So I went to this interview for some random company I found on craigslist. I see a kid who I went to middle school with, it was pretty cool catching up with someone 6 years later then they tell us that the company is selling knifes but they don't sell these knifes in stores or on the internet but you have to sell to your family then your family friends and so no. The whole thing just felt really sketchy so after I got the job I decided to leave. Now for some reason I'm just not happy, don't know why. Just wanted to tell people and thanks for reading and because I don't want to make this a complete waste. F8RuCSfOiBE

Sounds like a total rip-off.

I had to drive like an hour to go there, why can't they just tell you idiots only?

Because they want to make your day complete by wasting even more of your time.

They're all over the place and hire teenagers to sell knives, knowing that their family, friends, neighbors, etc. will probably help them out and buy from them. A friend of a friend is a manager there I think. And I read an account from someone who was in a relatively high position there something about how the company plans out strategies like the whole teenager-parent thing.

Here's what some people had to say about it: http://www.scam.com/showthread.php?t=13862&page=3

It just seems really sketchy to me, so it's probably a good thing that you left.

Yeah I figured it was sketchy, and they just wanted me to sell crappy knifes to my family members. Also those knives can't cut threw a can, so they are worthless.

What type of garage do you have that you need a knife? Mine just holds my car, is it suppose to do something else?

Well a garage is a very versatile part of the house. You can be like my old grandma and turn it into a living room. You can be a handy dude and make it your man space...cutting wood and shit. Gutting animals. Shit like that. I don't know.

But to answer your question, yes, it is supposed to do something else. Like hold more shit than just your car. I put my golf clubs, 2 bikes, and a hugeass ladder in my garage spot. The weird lady that parks next to me...well, she just has her car in there.

I keep my golfclubs in the house because it is bad for them to be in under 40 degree tempatures it causes the head on most wood contract then expand when it heats up causing the club to get misshaped and a high score. I work at a driving range and I get millions of pamphlets on how to take proper care of your golf clubs. Also getting them a message is very helpful.

Last year I had a letter sent to my house that asked me if I wanted an interview w/ that company. I went and it was a total scam.

Yeah I feel bad for all the people who stayed. When a guy says they made $6,000 last week (which on 10% commission means he sold 60,000 of knives) why would you be driving a Geo and wearing a shirt from walmart. Also he said he was captain of a college hockey team, but they don't have a hockey team at the school and he is 19, a sophomore can't be captain no matter how good they are.

I recommend by a set of nike slingshots, they are perfect if you're just starting or you're a pro. They are just so forgiving every shot goes straight and far.

this is for CUTCO, yeah? i did this two summers ago, my girlfriend did it this last summer. good way to make quick money for a while if you know a lot of people. i knew enough people that i ended up making over 2 grand that summer. it's seriously all about who you know and if they like you enough to recommend you to their friends. CUTCO isn't a scam, just a different way of door-to-door selling than you normally hear about.

I swear Danny Devito did something like this in that one episode of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. He tried to hang himself at the end I think. So yeah, good call on leaving

i was looking at callaway irons and i forget what kind of woods...then realized that i haven't played enough golf to really realize what i even need in new clubs. it's frustrating.

There's ads up all over my school (UofA) for selling cutco knives, and i've known some people that have done it.

But they promptly realize that it's a giant waste of time and not worth it.
Good call on not going through with it.

Not only that, but they told me I had to use my own money to buy "starter knives" to do demonstrations for my clients. That was at around 1200 dollars.

I really like the sling shots over the callaway, over the long run you will hit better shots with the nikes.

Instead of investing in Cutco, you should invest in grammar and spelling lessons.
