Apparently I need to get on this show(???) I'm a huge Office fan and such, and I've heard this show is better. I've seen it in parts, I'm just not a huge Tina Fey or especially Alec Baldwin fan in their other roles. Am I making a huge mistake by not watching??

Colin Firth should definitely win Best Actor. Although regrettably, I haven't seen Crazy Heart yet.

30 Rock is way better than the Office.

Too bad if you would have watched the clip that it was pretty much all Alec Baldwin and almost no Tracy Morgan...

I did watch the clip. The is almost never a scene involving Tracy Morgan that doesn't pertain to race or him just acting like a complete retard.

This is actually kinda true, but its just his character. There are the scenes with Tracy Jr. I love those.

I like all those shows, Curb is my favorite comedy on tv. So I don't see why you wouldn't like 30 Rock too.

Basterds ensemble win is terrific news. Bullock ruined my predictions though.

Very happy to see the Basterds win. I was actually surprised Up In The Air wasn't nominated. I guess three great performances (and likely Oscar nominations) doesn't count as an ensemble. But at the moment, Basterds have been my favorite film of 2009.

I am tired of Bullock ruining Carey Mulligan's year for her outstanding performance.

This gives me hope. What with Basterds winning the SAG and The Hurt Locker winning the PGA, it's been a good weekend for my favorite films of last year. Especially nice to wash the bad taste out of my mouth from the Globes...

If Avatar was the frontrunner, it isn't anymore, especially since it isn't winning the DGA and probably isn't winning the BAFTA. Should make for a much more interesting Oscar night than last year, at least.

good point. Doesn't stand a chance for the DGA, curious as to what you think will win the BAFTA?

BAFTA is a hard call I think, but it's worth noting that Titanic didn't win there. I wouldn't be all that surprised if they just went a completely different route and gave it to An Education though...

Jesus, only one time in the last decade has the winner of the DGA not gone on to win the Oscar. Did not know that.

I worded it weird, I meant the movie that the director won it for went on to win Best Picture all but once.

edit: shit it was twice anyway, didn't bother to look at the winner for 2000.

My opinion:

The PGA was the knife being stuck into Avatar's chest. The DGA will be the twist.

I love how these articles I'm reading are STILL trying to say Cameron is in it. Are they all high?
