too bad he's not competing on the 3 meter board for the portugese diving team...then that might hold up.
He has incredible foot skill, and when he learns that refs already know he is a bitch who dives, and stays on his feet, he will be great

He'll just be a little bit better than Figo in a few years. He'll never measure up anywhere near the legends of the game.
The only immortal players of our generation (1990 - after) are, imo, Roy Keane and Zidane.
Maradona would be pre-1990.

uh ronaldo has the all time world cup goals record.
youre on drugs to discount him.
anyway, if christiano ronaldo was so great, manchester united would probably try to work something out between him and wayne rooney
but they are like... well fuck you ronaldo, leave and go to real madrid...
that says quite a bit, i think.

No one in England likes him right now. Actually most want to kill him right now. Rooney is their love child since he plays with the national team.

Maldini?
I wish fire on my lips didn't ignore me so he could respond as to why Maldini isnt included in his list.

Might want to watch out with the drugs comment, some people think it's worse than terrorism.
Ronaldo has played very well in three world cups (even though he only played in two). yay for him.
I only consider people who changed the game to be worthy of an immortal status. It has equal importance between your sublime skill and the way that you carry yourself.
Also, what did Ronaldo do? I guess he was one of the first of a new class of Brazilian strikers that impacted the transfer market greatly but he really just became a mercenary.
I'm so so so so so sorry hist 22. Next time I go out, I'll make sure that you have my cell phone number to let me know when you need me to admit that I forgot someone.
And as much as I love Cantona, he's one weird guy. Maybe if it wasn't for the whole sea trawlers thing, I'd consider him one of the greats. And he also didn't play very well for his country, but he wasn't given a chance with all the falling outs he had with managers.
Before someone goes off on me about Keano, I'm irish. That should explain that.
Baggio missed a penalty and isn't, to me, on the same level as Zidane.

Cantona drop kicked a fan
he'd be immortal for that even if he sucked at football

well he is, just not in the Zidane sense, or I guess I now have to say in the Pele, Maradona, Cryuff, etc sense.

Cantona is a legend, just not in international competition. I dont think he was ever involved in a World Cup cuz of various beefs.

He'll never be forgotten, and he'd the best ever player to play in England (most likely, I'd have to think too much to think of someone better and it's too early).
People hate the "confused look on face, then raise arms in the air" celebration, I love it however. Second best celebration ever after the old Robbie Keane tommy gun celebration.

Afraid to say you're pretty much completely wrong on that one man. Alex Ferguson has recently been quoted as saying they have no intention whatsoever of selling Cristiano and mentioned "Manchester United is not in the business of selling its best young players".
I can see why you thought it though after what Ronaldo had been saying to the press but the whole situations completely changed over the last week or so.

I personally dont like C. Ronaldo.. His perfomance and his team's performance in the world cup was based on whining, diving, and barely surviving. (what? haha) He dives alot, but so do a lot of players these days, but I really think he needs to go to some sort of acting class because he completley does not know how to sell it.
He just needs to mature.
alot.

This time monday, he wanted to be sold. As of 9 a.m. this morning (in New York, probably happened the same time in England therefore 4 a.m. EST), he decided that it is "fine" to stay at manchester united.
Everything I've read about it, up until this morning, had Ronaldo saying that he wanted to leave ManU.
