well, i think that this deserves its own thread, more than random NBA rumors should have its own thread. You gave the rumors it's own thread, instead of posting in the NBA thread, to give it more exposure. I'm doing the same, but with something that has actually happened.

if you don't want to see something just don't open it, that's what I do when I see Eagle threads, unless I'm really really bored, then I read them and chuckle at the misery.

This is America, there is free speech, along with free speech you have the freedom to choose to do what you wish. You can sit in front of your computer and read about what Zidane said (which seems to have a pretty big interest level due to the number of soccer fans and the number of international people on this bored) or you can go to some other thread or to some other site and read about whatever you wish (although I'm sure Tate would rather you not).

I find it incredibly hard to believe that in all the years that Zidane has been playing soccer no one else has EVER made a crack about his mom or sister. Those are two of the most generic insults I can think of. Prior to the World Cup I had more than a few posts about how much I hate Zidane, because Zidane scored the winning goal against Ireland, in a game that if Ireland won, they would have qualified.
He's the best player of my generation. He did a stupid thing, but he's still one of the best ever.

If Zidane hadn't retired he would have been given around a ten game ban. There is no reason to suspend someone when they have already retired.

Spitting is a vile thing to do. If you headbutt someone, atleast you have some balls.

I don't remember all of the specifics of the Totti spitting thing, but i think he said some offensive things as well.

Also the Golden Ball isn't awarded on behavior, but on who played the best. If Totti spit on some guy in the 110th minute of the Euro04 final, was awarded the top individual prize for Euro 04 then got it taken away for the spitting, I'd call that unfair.
