Son of a bitch. The Wings play the Rangers on the road. Fuck these schedules.

ouch ...5 game road trip to start the year for the B's, followed by a 6 game home stand.
when did the nhl start modeling their schedule like it's baseball?

It's so stupid. There's nothing like playing 6 games in a row against only the Wild and the Blue Jackets.
Or how about playing the last 4 games of the season against the Blackhawks and once again, the Blue Jackets.

I know. Of all the 'positive' changes the NHL is making, the schedules are completely retarded. Playing the fucking St. Louis Blues 8 times a year isn't going to make me excited to play them because of a rivalry. It's going to make me hate them because they're so awful at playing hockey.

B's dont even play San Jose once, so at least we're spared of seeing firsthand what we gave away.

And we don't get to see Ovechkin light us up this year, either. Last year no Crosby, now no Ovechkin. The Pens game is in Pittsburgh too.
What's the NHL trying to do, hide their talent away from the public eye?

seriously, burying Ovechkin in the Southeast is no good for anybody.

i hate playing the teams in our division so much.
1. it discredits what the wings do in the eyes of others
2. most of the division don't even qualify as a 'professional hockey team'

well the wings did a good job of justifying that by getting bounced first round...

You're right. Getting bounced out of the second round is much more impressive.

you say that like i'm unaware of the fact that the team completely sucked dick in the playoffs.

my team didnt have the best record in the league.
theres the difference.
hmm something is weird
Hockey Day in Canada is on Jan 13th (and I also remember hearing this a while back) and TSN's site says "The annual Hockey Day In Canada triple-header on CBC will take place on Jan. 13, when Montreal travels to Ottawa, the Vancouver Canucks visit Toronto and the Western Conference champion Oilers are in Calgary."
but oilers and calgary are not on there that night, it would be a 10 pm game.

It's not like we should be surprised about this.
6 of the last 7 years the Wings have been knocked out in the first 2 rounds of the playoffs.
Shit that's sad.

flyers have a home and home with the rangers in the first week and end the season with 3 straight home games
Also, thank you NHL for not killing the Flyers season and making them play 11 straight on the road again with only 1 goalie. Thank you!

We play the Ducks and Sharks back to back nights in November in California. I really wanted to play both teams, so that's not bad.
These schedules suck overall though, the NHL really needs to get it done better. I wanna play more Western teams. I especially wanna play the Red Wings in Detroit, since Shanahan is gonna be with us.
