Dashboard Confessional (http://www.dashboardconfessional.com) will be appearing on NBC's The Today Show on July 27th! Below is the press release regarding the appearance:
NBC's TODAY Show welcomes DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL on Thursday, July 27th for a live concert in the center of New York City. Fans are encouraged to join us on the plaza for the live performances. Get there no later than 8:30 a.m., viewing is on a first-come, first-served basis outside TODAY'S Studio, located at 49th Street and Rockefeller Plaza in New York City. If you can't make it, be sure to tune in to NBC that morning at 8:30am.

The today show has the lamest group of people outside the studio all the time, with DC performing I doubt the crowd will be any better.

I think if your band is performing on the Today Show, its a sure sign that you are no longer making music that is even remotely relevant or interesting in any way.

Congratulations Dashboard, your "rock band" is officially safe for middle-aged housewives.

UGH. This is the day he was suppose to be in Milwaukee with Say Anything/Ben Lee. Now, the date has been changed and Say Anything/Ben Lee have dropped off.

where do you see ben lee and say anything arent playing that show? on the rave site its still on. pushing this date so close to john ralston's show though makes me wonder if john will just open for chris there??? that would be kick ASS.

That's going to be a great crowd, eh? All those lame people skipping work to talk with Al Roker and hold up their stupid glittery camp-made sign that has some gay message on it to the family back in Kansas.

It's also weird when you see all the bands performing on the Today Show's summer concert lineup, and right after KC & The Sunshine Band, you see Dashboard Confessional. I wish Say Anything would play, too...freak out the crowd a bit.

Haha Summerfest (outside of Jack's Mannequin) sucked this year.

it will never top 2004, with The Darkness, Blink 182, and Dashboard Confessional...

Dashboard @ Summerfest was an absolute nightmare. I have never seen so many people gathered in such a small place. We were seeing a band at the opposite end of the park and there were people trying to watch Dashboard from across the bay!
