To break it down for your obviously small brain, here's an example: Someone starts a Sublime (Official) thread in 2007. On the second page of that thread someone says "oh hey do you have this b-side?" and someone else posts it and the thread gets a few hundred or a thousand replies over time. Now fast forward three years when 10 other idiots have made Sublime threads with 20 posts each and someone says "Oh hey do you have this b-side?" If they would have found the original, official thread they could find all sorts of useful stuff there, instead of a bunch of nothing.

so you think bumping up old threads with a bunch of pages is a better idea? i've modded a few forums in my small time on earth, and i know that is not the best way to do things.
