Last year my best friend and I ended up living together. Nothing particular went wrong, but a lot of shit happened in the apt (4 girls total) and I think we just kind of grew apart. I haven't spoken to her since May when the semester ended.

I wanna call her up to just say hi or see what she's up to for the summer, but I don't know what to say...I mean..wtf am I supposed to say to her after not really talking for so long?

you both know shit is awkward, so just call her and start talking to her. eventually ease into the issue of you two not talking, and tell her how much it's bothered you. when people stop communicating it's usually because at least one of the people is pissed about something/chain of things the other did.

I barely talk to my school friends during the summer. They are all out of state and I work a lot plus I am closer to my home friends anyways, but come fall its like summer didn't even happen.

when you live with people, sometimes you just get sick of being around each other so much. doesn't mean that'll carry over when you don't live together anymore. just call her. i can go months without talking to some of my friends and then pick right up and have a normal conversation like we've been together the whole time.

just give her a call. start a regular conversation like you would if you just spoke to her yesterday.

yeah, dont wait any longer. Me and my best friend from high school dont talk anymore except occasionally online. It has been a while since we really hung out and now it would just be too weird. He got mad cuz i started hanging out with other people and he didnt want to make the effort to branch out or anything, and now we dont talk. It sucks.

You're definitely right about that - I think once we started living with eachother everything just kinda went weird. She treated one of our other mutal roomates like shit, and I just didn't really know how to deal with being her friend when I knew she was acting horrible to our other roomate (a good friend of mine) when I wasn't around. We never had a fight or an argument or anything, I just kinda moved out and that was it.

I don't know if I can just pick up the phone and just pick up a conversation...but I'm gonna try real hard.
