Saosin Release Moved Up

At Warped tour Saosin (http://www.absolutepunk.net/saosin) announced their full length debut would be pushed up to September 26th. Justin also verified this after the show.

Haha, no it isn't. They have legions of fans without ever putting out a full-length. Judging from the demos and unmastered songs, they are going to play it plenty safe, and the album will maintain the fans they already have and attract tons more casual new ones.

Haha, no it isn't. They have legions of fans without ever putting out a full-length. Judging from the demos and unmastered songs, they are going to play it plenty safe, and the album will maintain the fans they already have and attract tons more casual new ones.

FOR ME, this is the make-or-break. I haven't been thrilled with the demos post-Anthony--none of it stands too far apart from what else is being done by hundreds of other bands. Saosin's punishing drums, Anthony's clever lyrics and melodies with potent screams, and the metal-ish but insanely hook-filled guitar lines set TTN EP as one of my favorite EPs of all time. I just want to say, "I love Saosin" but I can't until I hear this new CD.

And yet again, you have to remember there are only two members from the EP remaining. Justin and Beau.
Alex replaced the Slayer Tech drummer, Cove replaced Ant, and Chris replaced the bass player from Ashley Simpson, who was also in Open Hand.

i have extrememly low expectations for this cd. budy your head was good. the capitol ep sucked. and weve all heard it- anthony is better blah blah blah. this isnt even saosin anymore in my opinion. Its a whole new band. kinda like underoath after changing of the times. i hope the album is great because they are a talented band, but i dont think they can ever live up to translating the name. know why?? cuz anthony is a fucking pimp! and the old drummer was better btw

umm the capitol ep wasnt really a real ep...it was a lil treat for the fans......there was no old drummer...they hired old man *mcgrath* just to play for the ttn ep. Given the fact that TTN is a underground classic it doesnt have real commericial appeal. Cove has the look and sound to take to the next level. You cant compare old sao to new sao, its apples and oranges. you dont even have ur facts straight.....so get lost

Yeah, most likely I'll get flamed for blasphemy, but at warped, I was really impressed with Cove's performance, especially when he sang the song "Seven Years". You have to admit, Cove has big shoes to fill, and to be honest, he's doing a very good job at it. Even Anthony Green said in an interview that Cove is able to do things that Anthony never thought of. Don't get me wrong, TTN was a great EP, and a lot of memories are attached to that EP, but I'm pretty stoked with what Cove has to offer.
