What is the REAL story behing Matt Gilbert (great vocalist, by the way, why did you let him go?) leaving the band? I just find it too hard to believe that the music just wasn't important to him anymore.

agree^^^^what was the real story behind matthew leaving the band? travis is a great singer but matthew's range and ability blow travis away in my opinion. i saw him like a week ago at a steel train show and he looked like hell. was his leave due to drugs? anorexia? You cant tell us he left the band because he didnt want to do music anymore because he has been making music and playing solo shows every week with his side project poem.

I know he had SERIOUS drug problems. from what I have heard he is clean but on his livejournal he has a poem about how a needle has not pierced his skin etc. And he is homeless and calls himself a gypsy. He ib my opinion has an amazing voice and writes some awesome lyrics..

i know this has nothing to do with anything, but i am so pumped for the early november cd that came out tuesday. i just cant decide whether to get it at best buy for $9.99 with a bonus dvd (such a great deal, hree cds and a dvd, but this week only) or pick it up at target for an exclusive bonus track.

that doesnt have to do with this topic but to answer your question, i bought both because the DVD was worth 10 bucks alone and the bonus song on the target version is my favorite b-side of all time.

I used to go to the same high school as Matt, and we used to sing lame dashboard confessional songs together; it was great stuff. But the real reason for his "anorexic" look I believe is because he has a lung tumor; not necessarily because he chooses to be that way. Also, from what I got on his side of the story, he quit because he wanted to make music for the right reasons, not for popularity, getting signed, or the like - just so he can spread the message of his music which consists of love. He does smoke and perhaps drink, but submit this question: why did they replace Matt (with the problems of not taking care of his body by drugs) with Travis (whom apparently does not take care of himself either)?

What do you have to say about the rumors of drug abuse from the Terminal days, and are you currently sober?

-matt left the band on his own accord... yes he literally said he was over music... and he obviously recanted that statement. Life is life. People changed their minds. Ask matt why he quit... i guarantee he'll be dead honest with you... and the truth will make a whole lot of things make sense.

-josh was kicked out of the band... they band felt that it was for the best and still do feel that way. The new drummer kicks ass.

-um why does everything think travis is some insane druggie... because he is hardly that. Yes he drinks... and I am guessing most of you do too right? But is he an alcoholic? no. Is anything in the band an alcoholic? no. Does travis even smoke cigarettes? very rarely.

....this goes to "the fans" of goodbye tomorrow on here cause i don't feel like they should be misslead... i used to play drums in this band. im not going to get into drama or details. all i want is for it to be known that "dankmaster" is in fact the bands manager Drew Rivera, he made a secret account to try and stick up for goodbye tomorrow anytime someone would bash us/them or praise matthew gilbert. anything he says on here of course will stand up for his band, go look for yourself... and for the record, i didn't realize this until after i was out of the band and had a extremly harsh, immature and un-professional post made about myself by mr. dankmaster... that is all. have a beautiful day

How can they stay signed to their label when the only two talented members, that are no longer in the band, got them there. Everyone cares about the actions of the band members because those actions will significantly change the music.

Questions are questions. None that I want to ask so i will just move my fingers on this keyboard for a little bit.

These dudes all have incredible talents that i would be very shocked to not see at a higher level. its a shame the way things turned out and what not. hopefully they can make a triumphant return, with full glory. we all have a bit of faith or understanding in what direction goodbye tomorrow is going.

josh niles is one very very rad dude. a person that can simply light the fire of any human being. he too will succeed in life, music or whatever he persues.

matthew gilbert is a human being that perhaps none of us will ever understand. but we will sit back and enjoy the ride. he is just that talented. dont hate. cause he loves you... one way or another... he loves you. dont ask why just understand.

This band, as it was and as it is, has always been made up of good people. Good people who don't deserve internet leeches making up stories of their lives. Its about the music, after all.
