So, with the growing following that The Room has garnered, I just have to bring up this movie. After Last Season is, according to the website, about the end of a season which "has brought more than a change in temperature to the residents of a city with the discovery of multiple dead bodies. News of the murders attracts the attention of two medical students who are doing work for a medical research company. The two students uncover a device that may help them solve the murders, but with deadly results." You can check out the trailers and a couple clips here:

This movie has apparently been growing in absurd popularity akin to the evolution of The Room and it bears some interesting similarities. The script is just as inane as The Room (characters talk on and on about nothing in particular) and it's made by a director (Mark Region) who somehow gathered up $5 million to make it (Tommy Wiseau somehow put together a budget of $6 million for The Room, leaving people scratching their heads). The story primarily takes place in one room. The set and props are covered in white paper for some reason. The story involves an MRI machine that is clearly made of paper and cardboard. Actors flub their lines and their speech patterns are blander than rice cakes. Whole portions of the film feature "special effects" that look like an amalgamation of MS paint, a windows screen saver circa 1995, and Second Life. It's supposed to be a medical facility, but the set is clearly a giant, empty warehouse. The movie is endlessly quotable, filled with inane dialogue. For a while, people apparently thought the movie was a big joke and was some sort of strange viral marketing for Where The Wild Things Are. You can read about that here:

Here is an interesting interview with the film's director (apparently the guy is a real estate business director from Massachusetts who has zero background in film):

The movie has already formed a cult following like The Room and has been called "The best worst movie ever made" similar to The Room as well. Here is an informative Facebook group:
