At lenox mall here in atlanta. my girlfriend was at the ATM, and i look over, and of course i looked at his shoes first, (come on drew, youre with me on this one). and then saw his bag had three pairs of jordans, looked up at him and thought 'Oh shit, that's eddie fuckin jones'. i ran through my head on what i should say, then i just turned to him, shook his hand and said 'i dont want to bother you, but just watned to say hi'. apparentley no one in atlanta knows who he is, because he said i was the first person to say anything, so he actually talked to me a second, and was a really nice dude.

well he doesnt play here remember...he's in memphis. but i agree, ive seen alot of famous people here in atlanta though, it's nuts.

i for some reason dont think he's 6'6, maybe 6'3 or 6'4 he wasnt that much taller than me and im 5'11

Im not surprised it seems like i hear more and more of that...

an example is patrick ewing..always listed at at least 7'0 but ive read everywhere that hes only 6'9

i saw kobe bryant in disneyland. he was walking away and had a security guard usher so I was unable to say anything. It's probably good thought, because this was in the middle of a Kings-Lakers series a few years back and I was a huge kings fan.

closest i've ever come to meeting an athlete is seeing TJ Duckett during the spring or summer right after his rookie season. He's from Kalamazoo and I saw him at the mall.

Then like 3 days later a guy tried to break a beer bottle over his head while at a nelly concert. If I remember correctly the dude was drunk and tried to start a fight and he went to swing a beer bottle and Duckett like grabbed the guys arm and then it's reported he threw a couple punches and dropped the guy and waited for security. Dude is a beast. and it's funny, everyone said he was the next ron dayne when he got into college and he didn't touch the numbers of dayne. Now, in the NFL dayne barely has a job and TJ has significant playing time.

I saw John Elway, Sean Saulisbery, and two defensive tackles down at Islamorada. They were at the Tiki Bar and there was some huge Cigarette boat race where they started in Key Largo and raced to Key West. Elway was at Marino's golf outing in Miami the weekend earlier and he just decided stay down. I've never seen some people so fucked up in my life. Sean Saulisbery was obliterated and John Elway was dancing with some girl in her 20s. Also, they were playing this one song and Elway kept hitting the bass guitar.

I've also met Evander Holyfield and Hasim Rahim in AC. AC always has celebrities and athletes. I've seen AJ Feely, met Paris Hilton and the whole cast of the Sopranos and so on. It was pretty crazy stuff. Also, Jay-Z has a 40/40 club here. AI had a bday party there along with none other than TO.

And oh I met JR Smith in h.s. when we played against him.
