Coachella is just around the corner (about 79 more days!). In order to prepare, I've been compiling some songs together (from the bands that are performing this year) to form the ultimate Coachella mix. This is my first mix, but there will also be more to come...

She & Him- Sentimental Heart
The Temper Trap- Sweet Disposition
Ra Ra Riot- Can You Tell
The xx- Heart Skipped a Beat
Phoenix- One Time Too Many
Grizzly Bear- Two Weeks
MUTEMATH- Control
Passion Pit- Moth's Wings
One EskimO- Astronauts
Vampire Weekend- Cousins
The Avett Brothers- Kick Drum Heart
Julian Casablancas- Glass
Thom Yorke- The Eraser
MGMT- Pieces of What
The Dead Weather- New Pony
Them Crooked Vultures- Dead End Friends
The Raveonettes- Last Dance

Fever Ray's abscence from this playlist saddens me. As does Gossip's. But besides that, pretty damn good. Props for She & Him and The Raveonettes.

I'll have to look into Fever Ray. Also, I've had Gossip's Music for Men album for a while, but I just haven't gotten myself to listen to it... I probably should, though. lol.

Definitely. I tend to prefer female vocalists to male. Four of my top five favorite bands are fronted by chicks. I've always found women's voices more intense and appealing than men's.

Thanks! For sure. I'm also trying to get into some of the other bands that I haven't heard of, as well. Know of any good ones?

You must. Fever Ray is the side project of the lead singer of The Knife. And it was definitely my favorite album of 2009. It's some of the creepiest music i've heard in my life. And lyrically brilliant. I'm so fucking stoked to see her at Coachella, as i've seen many Youtube performances of her live stuff, and it's crazy.

And Music for Men is Gossip's strongest album yet, IMHO. Heavy Cross and Love Long Distance are the best off the album. It's a very energetic and fun. Very Gossip. They're amazing live. I've seen them three times now. Beth is a powerhouse.

Don't blame you. I think it's a either love it/hate it thing. I personally think it's fucking SICK, but i know of many people who find it grating.
