I know right? Wasn't one of them supposed to join TREOS?

Wait, I'm confused. So are several members still leaving, and they're just not breaking up, or is everyone staying?

This post is incredibly frustrating in that it is not nearly informative enough.

I would really love for this to be true because As Cities Burn is one of my favorite bands, but I am a little skeptical. Because at Cornerstone they told us that they were done and Chad Johnson from Solid State said he was sad to see them go. But, things do changs I guess. I just hope that this is accurate. I won't believe it until they anounce it officially.

I'm happy there not breaking up. I'm starting to doubt the guitar player is going to join TREOS if As Cities Burn are still together.

This better not turn out to be another BS AP rumor post.
I wont believe it until there's something official or i hear it from one of the boys' mouths myself.
If this is true tho, its the best news i've heard in a long time.

Ah! This is awesome news! I never really understood how a band could say they are going to break up, play a whole summer together, and still want to break up..

Do you think they changed their mind because fans knew they were done after this, and they probably have gotten so much support at Warped because fans think its the last time?

Thats what I think....

Are you kidding me? haha I have been here almost 3 years (youve been here 2 months), shut up. Why would I want to listen to music that is hip and up to date? I didnt even mention anything about that. Im sorry that Im not the one following trends and listening to shitty carbon copy bands.

YES I listened to Rufio when I was 16. That being said, Perhaps I Suppose will better than ANYTHING shitty As Cities Burn EVER puts out.

Go listen to music not becuase its hip and up to date, but because you like it. What a concept I know.

I was just at Cornerstone and talked to TJ and he said that they were.

07/14/06, 10:38 AM
yeah i am not going to believe it until it comes straight from the mouth of the band (or straight from their myspace or website.) Of course, i do know from personal experience that God can work through the whole Cornerstone event and maybe As Cities Burn feels a calling to keep going despite of this being "their last tour" and despite a couple of the members going to other bands. Who knows. guess time will tell.

ok well since ACB play typical, sing/ scream style music, I will list some

Across Five Aprils - A tragedy in progress - 2003
From Autumn to Ashes - Too bad your beautiful - 2001
Senses Fail - Ep - 2003
Finch - falling into place - 2001

all I am saying is that there are way to many bands that sound like this and they arent original.

Thank you all so much for the emails, and conversations you have shared with us throughout the past month. It is because of the overwhelmingly positive response we have received from each of you, that As Cities Burn has decided to stay together, and record another record. None of us are joining any other projects, TJ will remain in the band, and well be writing a new record this fall.

To clear up any confusion, here is whats going on:

We decided at the beginning of March while we were on tour with The Bled that As Cities Burn would be over at the end of August. T.J. was getting married and had decided to move on with his new life and settle down. We all decided we could not replace such an important part of the band, so we started making preparations to end the band, deciding a final tour was our best way to say thank you, and goodbye to all of you. Morale in the band was at an all time low at that point, and we had completely lost sight of what we were doing, and the purpose behind it. We had become worn out by seemingly endless time on the road and the struggles of trying to maintain some kind of normal life while touring. We were tired and weary; no one had the strength to pull the band back together.

Now, months later, after being on our headlining tour for a couple weeks, we have had many opportunities to talk to you all about how As Cities Burn has impacted on your lives. Conversations we have had with many of you have been overwhelmingly touching and encouraging. Through all of this we have realized how much of a blessing this band is in our lives and the lives of many of our supporters. It has become clear to us that ending As Cities Burn right now would be extremely pre-mature, as there is much left for us to do as a band. We cant even begin to express how thankful and blessed we are by all of you that have encouraged and supported us over the past 4 years, and we are so excited to be continuing on to do another record.

It was not our intention to be indecisive or deceitful through all of this, we deeply apologize for our inconsistency. Sometimes it seems that it takes a drastic situation to realize what is most important in our lives. Thanks to all of you for coming to our shows, and continually supporting us. Hopefully we will be seeing more of you as we finish out the summer and prepare to write a new record.

We love all of you so much, God bless.
-Colin, Cody, TJ, Pascal and Aaron

so I can't express my opinion for a band? I find this band to be horrible, I do not like them. Sounds the same to me. And don't give me the "untalented" bit, because I never once said they were "not talented", I said they were a horrible band.
