I was just about to read this article with my lunch. Does anyone know who broke the story?

Also did anyone see the top academic football program list in the NY Times? I don't exactly put Auburn's academics up there with Stanford, Duke and Annapolis. That should have raised so flags.

...this is shocking? This goes on at every single Division 1 football or basketball Program (save for the ivy league in college b-ball).

Fuck, it happens here at Western Michigan. My brother had classes with a few of the football players who showed up once every 3 weeks even when they are in town for the week, and walk out with 3.85+ gpa's.

This shouldn't be shocking to anyone.

I know someone who went to Oklahoma to play football a long time ago and got tons of stuff done for him. It happens everyday. Anyone who denies it is an idiot. Has anyone seen a Vince Young interview? And I'm a Texas fan... but I know he had some advantages, as does almost everyone.

TJ Duckett rarely ever did his own homework, in both high school and college.

As a life-long Auburn fan, I'm not proud of this and a bit worried as to what the outcome will be. In other reports I've read, they are saying that it seems that it is more of a one professor problem (that they are finding at least) instead of an orchestrated plan involving many people, and the penalties shouldn't be as harsh.
