Fearless Records (http://www.fearlessrecords.com/) will be releasing Devil Say I, I Say AIR (a digital EP) from Portugal. The Man (http://www.portugaltheman.net/) via iTunes and Emusic on July 18th.

"On July 18 (this Tuesday!) Fearless Records will release a new digital EP from the band entitled "Devil Say I, I Say AIR" through E-Music and iTunes. The EP has three brand new songs including a remix of "How The Leopard Got Its Spots" by Blake "Beatz" Miller from Los Angeles rockers Moving Units.

That cd is begging for an entire remix cd ala Bloc Party style. I'd love to hear a Hot Chip version of 'Marching With Six'.

The other two songs are off of a vinyl 7 inch they released earlier this year. In my opinion, the best Portugal stuff yet. but yeah, not completely new, unless you count it as being "new" in a digital kind of way.
People bitch when they can't get songs, because they don't have means to play vinyl.
People bitch when they get the songs in MP3 that they couldn't play.
People always bitch.
I'd bet 90% of you just downloaded the songs from that vinyl. And now you're disappointed to be getting nothing "new"..

In all actuality, the two b-side songs are worth the price of most other cds out there.

Still - those songs, The Devil and The Pines, were exclusives songs. It's kind of dissapointed when they are released, if you bought the album. At least, that's how I feel.

I belong to this catagory too. I'll probably buy these songs on itunes as well though, if only for the artwork.

think of it this way: if both of those songs are being released on different mediums the people that didn't get the 7" will never have the package that came with it. doesn't that make the 7" more special than the digital release? i will agree that the music is most important, but having the record in your posession should make you even more happy than the people that couldn't get their hands on it or don't even have a record player.
