Why thank you. I'm quite fond of it myself. Hearts In Atlantis is my favorite book too. I read it this past fall and fell in love with it. I don't know why I never got around to reading it before, but it broke my heart in all the right ways. It's honestly been a while since I was that moved. I miss the characters and find myself hoping that Stephen King really does get around to writing "The House on Benefit Street" about Carol Gerber and her missing years. A while back, a friend of mine had the radio on in their car and when "Twilight Time" by The Platters came on, I had to stop them from changing the channel. It's a beautiful, beautiful book.

As for the movie, I agree. I enjoy it for all of the moments from the book that they kept, but now that I've read the book I do feel cheated. Have you ever read Stephen King's excerpt about the movie from the book "Stephen King Goes to the Movies"? In it, he explains how deviating away from the science fiction and Dark Tower elements takes away from the film and I couldn't agree more. Also due to the book, the movie's ending bums me out. I wish they would make a miniseries out of it or something so we could see everything. I want to see Pete Riley and Skip and Stokely (Rip Rip)....

What did you think about Anthony Hopkins in the role of Ted?
